nope. the bov element is a leak in ALL scenarios... on the bench, in situ... etc etc as obvious from the videos...
It also leaks in recirc mode too.... as that piston has no seals to the cylinder wall... = leaky
How is this ever a good thing..

Std OE valves do not leak.. Aftermarket ones should'nt either. Its not difficult to comprehend is it..

I'm relatively new to this forum (about a year) and it can initially be intimidating when tuffty goes on a "policing the forum rant", but then he has a point about stickies and rules etc as it saves a lot of repeat threads. He is admittedly is a relative expert and a genuinely useful and a valued member of ASN, hence your negative experience here Maty. Kudos to tuffty for not rising to the initial response from Maty, and in terms of the information available on the site it's second to none and I've never gone wrong with the advice here.

Maty j, just take the advice given and get an oem Bosch DV for £45 iirc from dealer , you could sell your forge one on ebay maybe and then it wouldn't cost you anything but make a vast improvement.

The oem DV is good for 300+ bhp iirc and when I put a new one on my s3 it was loads better than the 007p I was running IMO.

Just out of interest, why has no one suggested the poster does a leak test of his own? Two options;

A: the poster performs said leak test and proves his valve does (or doesn't) leak and thus Bill, Tuffty and every other knowledgeable forum user is right (or wrong).

B: Mat doesn't perform a leak test, meaning he is worried about the results and what he might see...
