Canbus+ Number plate LED's.

I have to 1st transfer the specs of the sample bulb that slice tested onto the new bulb that houses the little halogen, the test bulb was the halogen soldered onto the festoon I designed a year back.

So I need to make sure it's right before I get the new mould made as it's £300 a time for me to revise but it's well worth it so need it perfect.

I am waiting on the factory to send me a new sample with the resistances that where added onto the bulb I sent slice a few weeks back.

hopefully be here this year as I have asked them to get it here asap.

Update.

New mould been sent Monday so should have this by the end of next week, it will be tested as soon as it drops.

If all goes well I will get the 1st batch fast tracked so I can get you guys that have bought them working error free.

I'm a little bit moist about this excellent news...!!

Look forward to receiving them, put the old bulbs back in today funnily enough!

Great news.

All working error free in an 07 B7 with full colour DIS.

So these will work in the a3 09+ and all b7's.

I will email the factory in the morning to find out when the revised mould can go into production and an eta on when I will have them.

The bulb has not changed in any shape or form, the revisions are hidden away and can't be seen unless the bulb is striped completely apart so doing figment tests won't be required.

Once I know an update from the factory I will post up and then give details on getting the recalls sorted 1st.

Great to see that the issue has been resolved! I have a '59 A3 black edition and I am keen on buying these - did you get an ETA from the factory?

thanks for hanging in there and not giving up on getting this working for us, can't wait to get mine swapped over
 
There was a point I was just going to refund and give up but I though I may as well give it the last push.

I have seen on grizza trading an 09 plate 8p with lights they sell on there and apparently there's no faults. Strange

Funny you should say that, I've just heard that company name, have not heard of it but a customer of mine on the RS246 forum just had some error free bulbs for his MK6 delivered by me, the kit was with my added loom to get it working error free.

He said that he tried some from grizza while I was on the phone talking him through install and said they had brought an error up.

I've seen those super bright LEDs on another car and make it look worse IMO as it was difficult to read the plate because it was so bright

I agree. The amount of light output from Trups is perfect. Just more than the standard LEDs on new Audis/BMWs but not a silly amount like the pic above. Personal opinion of course.

Hi.

Still no update on a clear date, factory is closed until the 9th. I have spoke with my factory contact and he said that as soon as he returns on the 9th he will send away for the moulds to be made, this can take anywherr between 5 - 10 days, then when they have the moulds they will fit the led's on them, build the bulb which will take a day and then i can have them posted to me, as i dont have a big order for when they get back as long as there are no delays on the mould i am hoping for the end of Feb, i am away 10th feb to the 18th myself so as soon as i return i will be looking through all the guys that bought the version 1's that didnt work will be getting replacments sent out 1st, and then i will add the link back up for members here that have also been waiting.

enough will be ordered to meet the demand so dont worry, you will be able to get a set without me running out of stock.

its the best i can do im affraid, they would of been in by now i think if it wasnt for the holiday season in china.
