I've noticed that the quattro manual version of the 2.0TDi 150hp is available in Ireland (and most of the rest of Europe). Don't think we can get it in the UK. Why not Audi?

Because Audi UK have decided not to ask Audi AG to make a UK version. The same applies to the A3 I would like to buy, which would be the nearest to my existing A3, that is a 2.0TDI-184 s-tronic (normal or quattro) but in SE rather than Sport/S-Line trim. This is available in Germany but not in the UK. Perhaps they will add some more version to the list for the MY2015.

I will be REALLY annoyed if Audi now decide to offer manual quattros in the UK! I waited for AGES before finally ordering a SB S line TDI 184 quattro S tronic (to replace an 8P 170 quattro manual) in the hope I could get it with a manual... I cannot believe that 'most' people who bought 8P quattros had S tronics, (which is Audi's excuse for their decision not to import the manual version...)

Audi UK have some strange ideas of what UK drivers want. In the past they decided not to import the Sportback because no one would want them. Having finally changed their minds they now sell far more Sportback's than 3-door cars.

It's stupid because they produce a manual 184 quattro for Europe so why not add it to the UK list. They way the cars are built it makes no odds to the production line whether the next car on the line is LHD or RHD. Their computers control what parts arrive at the correct point for the guys to build the car.

So? They're offering a TDI 184PS quattro with manual in Europe now?!... They weren't when I last looked a few months ago - only the 150PS version could b had with a manual... And my dealer told me to give up waiting cos there would never be a manual quattro in the UK!!! Now seems more likely - just a matter of time... Doh!

No sorry it was my mis-reading of the German Price List document. The do offer a 2.0TDI-184 quattro with 6-speed s-tronic or a non-quattro 6-speed manual. Also a 2.0TDI-150 quattro with manual or s-tronic, but not a 184 quattro with manual. So you've probably got the best available option for you at the moment. What will happens for the 2015 Model Year is anyone's guess. My dealer has promised to email me a copy of the MY2015 changes as soon as he gets a copy. Sorry for the confusion.

Just sold our 8P 170 Tdi quattro Black Edition... Would have considered a manual 184 if available... just going to have to get used to having an S3 instead!!
