Booked in for custom exhaust

Definitely looks aftermarket, exit pipes look too crowded for my liking but if you're pleased.
 
Yeah I see what your saying, its the picture they don't look like that in person I was prob stood a bit close so the angle doesn't show the gaps around the tips.

Anybody know where this diffuser comes from? I'm betting you can't buy it in the UK:(

Thanks all 👍👍👍 sorry cyprio I can't tell you I searched high and low for that diffuser as that was the one I really wanted but couldn't find it otherwise that's what would be on my car rite now, I like it as the tips can be higher up rather than tucked way down. 😤

They hardly do any cosmetic mods for our cars over here (UK). :(

That's the one thing I miss about my bmw - nothing else ;)
 
Yeah tell me about it, I'm after some adjustable drop links but can't find any in uk also some certain wheels but again none in uk and I don't fancy paying £250 for delivery 😭 I had to get my S4 diffuser from Germany it took 3 weeks to come.

How's the exhaust settling in now...I couldn't find the YouTube vid..could you have another go at posting a vid ;)
 
Yeah I will post another vid it should be settled in now it's done around 300 miles, I'll try get one this weekend.
 
audi upgrades
SI-W85, did you put a heat shield on the driver's side exhaust, if so do you have part number & price? Also looking for part number & price of back box hanger, if you can help with any of these, Cheer JG
 
Hi no I didn't bother with a heat shield but it is straight through without any back box so the exhaust is quite a bit away from anything also as it was custom made they fitted it on the vehicle and a hanger was fitted by them, however I did price up a milltek from awsome and they gave me a list of part numbers for heat shield and hanger I will have a look when I'm home tomorrow for you...

audi upgrades
It took about 20 mins to get the old one off and the new one on but I used a ramp and had it in the air, but I did have to destroy the first 2 clips on either side to get the old one off but I wasn't over bothered as I binned the old diffuser anyway but if you were keeping it and spent a little more time I'm sure you could get them off. The S4 diffuser pops on no bother in a couple minutes it on lol

Hi JG I'm sorry but i can't find the paperwork I had regarding the hanger and heat shield, I have asked a friend who works at an Audi main Dealers to find out for me so see what he comes back with.

Thanks mate, I'm going to give my local Audi dealer a ring tomorrow re these, it'll be interesting to compare price difference, if any.

Yeah I love it mate by far the best modification. I have done to the car, sounds great too I am going to try and get a vid this weekend of how it sounds now with the centre box cut out, I will post a YouTube link up at some point for you to have a listen....

Think he liked the sound haha either that or I was being antisocial with my noisy car lol but it sounds so much better in real life than it does on video.
 
Hahaha he thought it was an s4 ! Lol .. But yeah I know what you mean my first car was a classic mini and I put a 3" exhaust on that and on video it sounded rubbish but it was the loudest thing around here for miles ! Lol cheers for doing a video tho I can't wait to get mine done now!

Yeah this Wednesday with the clutch.. I'm thinking about a fmic to because the are only £300 from darkside but not sure yet.

Yep.. Clutch £425 +VAT
Fitting £240 +VAT and that is with dual mass.. Not being funny but don't put a single mass in your car ! .. I know people say it's better but it sounds sh*t and drives horrible! Only advantage is it lasts longer and you can put more power on it but still if you see the guy on darkside he's running 206bhp on a dual mass and no problems so.. Audi wanted over £2000 lol

Yeah I've been on the phone to them today, no I won't put a single mass in couldn't be doing with the vibrations and like you say the noise. Anyway I've got Awsome Gti in Manchester to try and find me a better price for a clutch as they will be doing mine anyway so will find out on Monday if they can get one any cheaper, they are a bit cheaper on eBay but only like £50 and for that I would rather buy it from Darkside lol see what they come back with on Monday, I will be going with a sports clutch too.
 
Yeah audi are ridiculous ! They wanted £1000 just to change one of my driveshafts lol .. But yeah I was umming About a upgraded plate for mine but the guy said a standard would be fine so I'm going for it :) how many miles has your car done?
 
Just gone 50k yesterday :( £800 is a very good price from darkside Awsome will struggle to beat that but they will match it so either way I'm not over bothered, but it is slipping pretty bad when I drove it today so it's going in this week for it doing.
 
Wow my clutch is only just going (bearing) and it's on 110k lol but I do mostly motorway so .. But nice hope they can do it soon as for you !
 
Yeah I think they will do but it's going in for quite a few other things doing too so it will be staying with them for a bit, 110k to 50k is a bit of a differance for a clutch to go isn't it :/ a bit disapointed but there's no point getting worked up is there lol just get it fixed and on my way again:)

Yeah and I've got to take it to audi again for cam belt change comes so fast! .. What else you having done?
 
New rear dampers as mine on my coilovers are faulty, having the map altered slightly, hopefully my new wheels will be ready for tyres and adaptors should be hear so I'll get them to fit them and adjust coilovers to suit and do wheel alignment, I'll get it serviced at same time too lol and maybe I will get a front mount too :/ who knows depends what else I can think of before it goes in haha
 
Jesus.. Where do you work?! Fair play you just get it done eh :) .. What wheels you got/putting on ? .. Defo want to see your car in person you will have to come to some of the shows I go to!
 
Yeah I've been asked to a couple of shows but not quite happy with it at the moment lol will be doing in the near future, I've got some X5 staggered wheels a bit plain but I like the subtle look not in your face should look pretty good when they are on if my coilovers are low enough :/ if not it's getting booked in with luke at plush for air ride lol already got it priced up with him just been putting it off while I get some other bits and bats done, as you do lol what shows do you go to?

Yeah you should be fine with coilovers .. Air ride is well to expensive it's cool but £3000 for upgrades is silly lol .. I've seen an a4 online with x5 wheels really cool video of it on YouTube. And I'm part of a dub club so pretty much just follow all the vw's around lol but I should have all my mods done for volksfest and gti show... But me and few of my Mates want to travel bit further to see se
