Well since a few others have done this i thought I would post up a thread for my S3 and what I plan to do to it!!

I collected it two weeks ago and so far loving it, I been looking for one for ages and after months of searching i found a 2009 09 Ice Silver example with 27k miles on the clock with a real nice spec.

Spec is:
S-tronic
Wingback seats
Sat nav plus
Cruise Control
Ipod adaptor
Bluetooth
Flat bottom steering wheel
Black edition styling pack

Plans in the near future, more than likely when my insurance renewal is due.. so in about 6 months time is to go to Shark stage 1. Then work my way up to Shark stage 3 so hoping for about 350BHP :)

Would really like to get my hands on some Rotors, but at £1500 a set they might have to wait, or go for the BBS CK's, thoughts?

Heres some pics in the mean time anyway!

The front windows where actually tinted in those pictures, but I had to take them off since they where unfortunaly, illegal.. Shame as it looked loads better since the backs are really dark!!!

Your thoughts?

Looks lovely mate.

Add a set of 19" rotors and it would be perfect.

Cant decide between the rotors or BBS... the BBS come in cheaper but the rotors would probably keep in with the "stock yet subtle" approach i want to go for.. then again either of them will keep a high residual value when i come to change cars in a couple of years and sell the wheels off, ill keep the stock rims as winter jobbies :)

If it was me I'd be leaning towards the rotors but as you say they are like rocking horse **** in 19" and expensive. The BBS would look nice finished in shadow chrome or anthracite.

Not a fan of silver, however that spec is to die for!

Must have been been a pretty penny.

My opionion, go for the bbs, although every man and his dog has them

Yeah it wasn't cheap, but hey you only live once! haha as you said the spec is lovely, there isnt anything it hasnt got that i wish it had, the heated seats where a luxury this morning, i do fancy some BBS in anthracite...

Dave i've got a set of hollow spoke rotors going in the classifieds if you wanna have a look.. ;)

p.s.... Cars a beaut! ;)

I have thought about this... but if im honest, the only thing i would change about its looks are the wheels, think i might have to go to 19" maybe, but wincing at the price of tyres :/

Hi dave lovely car one of my favorite colours as this was the colour of my first s3 8p2 :) 19 grip the road like no other ,but can be alittle heavy unless you get light weight 19s ,i had mtms and they where awesome ,looked amazing ,just a bit heavy compared to 18 facelift alloys . I must admit h&r 25 mm springs and 19s look the nuts ,enjoy:)

What made you take the tints on? How do you test? Mine are just as dark as that as you can see in my avatar but I have never once been pulled for them and I have been sat at the lights next to old bill loads of times, I bought the car like it so if I do ever get pulled I would plead ignorance but surely its only the nobs in corsas etc nowadays that they bother pulling

Do you live around the Mansfield area? I'm sure I saw this the other day?!

They where starting to peel at the top, so i asked my local tinter to redo them and he refused on the basis that the front windows are stamped with AS2 which basically means that the windows are tinted to near enough the legal limit from the factory. They did look good but ah well, i agree the old bill probably do have better things to do, but ive heard its now more than a fine as it can add points to your license too :/
