As per the title,

My Audi S3 F/Lift is Stage 2+. It was bought this way and I've done little to it during ownership. I have just had the front off to upgrade the intercooler and noticed modifications had been done on the MAP sensor wiring & TB wiring? It has been done with the genuine VAG repair plugs so i'm unsure if the wires have been swapped about, could this be anything to do with the remap? Runs great and is a flying machine. No faults in any module etc etc. Just curious really?

Thanks in advance,

David

Oh I thought some WMI kits worked from the MAP sensor

Usually at the ECU interface if you buy something like the Aquamist.

Most of the others are boost pressure linked from the manifold.

That's it they have there own boost sensor, I thought they tapped into the MAP.

Exactly.

AEM's controller takes a tap from the manifold after the throttle body and measures boost directly,so there's no cutting into the wiring.

The Aquamist system does take a feed from the MAP sensor, but should not require the TB or MAP sensor wiring to be cut about at the sensor end of the system.
