Post Pics Of Your A3/S3 8v In Here

I wanted Ibis White on mine but Ibis is not available as a standard colour on the A3, you would need to spec it as a custom colour -this might influence your decsion

Sorry I mean glacier white!! Love to see more pics with privacy glass or Daytona grey!

Looks really cool Anton, I think the xenons, make a difference to the looks, not just functional.
i am guessing is brilliant black, but hard to tell in photo because of lighting, either way looks great, but I am biased coming from 2 black cars.

Its nice to see some Black out there amongst all the Glaciers, Daytonas and Misanos, whether it be Brilliant or Phantom is sure looks good...I was beginning to think I was the only one ordering Brilliant Black..its good to see others following that path

Thanks for comments, it's phantom black-----if ordering again I would go for brlliant black and save the money----doesn't appear to be much difference between the two blacks to me.

Yes its Brilliant Black. I didn't spec the car as i couldn't wait 6 months for delivery (new baby due in October), but I am impressed with the colour. The dealer threw all the extras in including the AutoGlym Lifeshine protection which make the paintwork look awesome

That good, one of the reasons I changed for 3 Door to Sportback was the slightly bigger boot when seats down to carry a couple of Mountain bikes in the back easier so to good to know it works.Cool looking bike and matches the car

Bike fits in easily with the front wheel removed.

Scuba looks great on an S Line, first I have seen it on a S line and works really well with alloys and body work, brings out the best of the colour.

I agree the blue looks awesome on the s line

Hey markjames cheers for the pics!! Really appreciate it! Looks awesome...I want one now!! What spec u got? ✌
No prob. I got 1.6TDI S-tronic with privacy glass, comfort pack and Audi sound system. If you are in the market to buy one, here are my 3 most noticed things after having it for 3 months: - Get privacy glass. In my opinion it really lifts the image of the car. - Don't get the Audi Sound System. If you are a music lover, the B&O is a million times better. I have been trying to get the most out of my Audi sound system but it just doesn't cut it compared to older systems I have had. I think a lot is to do with it's speaker positioning. - Get auto-folding mirrors. Sick of doing mine manually! Hope you enjoy it when you get it :)

Hey thanks for the advice! A lot of great tips. I was thinking the s-line diesel maybe the 1.6 or 2.0 (150) but still undecided. My thoughts were to get the B&O but I don't think I can justify the massive cost of £750! So instead I was thinking of the audi sound system but......now after hearing from yourself I'm not sure lol. I have heard the Bose in the A3 black edition -- is the audi sound system on par with this?
After reading the brochure and comparing the audi SS to the B&O I can only see that it had 4 more speakers? Can the B&O be so much better? They both have a subwoofer?

Yeah privacy glass is a must I agree. Not checked the price of folding mirrors any ideas how much they are?
Thanks

Apologies for hijacking but - £150 for folding/nearside dipping and £250 for folding/nearside dipping/drivers side dimming :)

From the brochure...

They do. I listened to both before I decided to add the Audi Sound System to my car. (I had up to this point not bothered with upgrading the stereo). Its the first time I have ever bothered to upgrade it. I could tell the difference between all 3, however I couldn't justify the extra cost of the B&O vs the Audi one. Sure you are getting extra speakers and some light up strips, but I'm not sure if that is worth an extra £500. (The light up strips look cool though! - they should have just added these as std!) The choice is yours though..

Apologies for hijacking the thread..

Lol that's my dilemma! I've not listened to the Audi SS but would you say that it is a big upgrade from the standard audi stereo?

Also I've only driven then 2.0 (150). What are your thought on the 1.6 diesel compared to this?

B&O in my view is worth every penny. I would caution though that it doesn't sound great "out of the box;" a fair amount of tweaking of the settings is required.

I picked up my Monsoon Grey A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI Sport yesterday! My god, she is a beauty.

I don't think its as much about the amount of speakers but more about the quality they produce. Like I say I think it varies from person to person, and perhaps I have a distorted view of this based on my last speakers (which subject to opinion, but for me they were the best standard speakers I have ever heard in a car - 2010 Ford focus Titanium).

If I were buying again now, after hearing the B&O compared to the Audi sound system, I would consider the B&O to be a massive improvement. I know it is a big cost which is why I also didn't go for it, but for me the Audi Sound System is weak for the money you pay. The sub in the boot makes only a small difference (perhaps the car too well insulated...) and as I like my music loud, the clipping it does on the bass is too much. My Focus didn't distort at any volume - I was told the Audi speakers would improve in time but 3 months later I have still seen no improvement.

If your budget doesn't allow it, which mine didn't, I'd say save your £300 and spend an afternoon installing your own speakers. For £300 I am sure you can get some decent aftermarket ones which do a far better job.

But... apart from that..... I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!! It gets so much attention when driving about.

Also, my car is adapted so I have only driven a few engines - 1.6 petrols. This 1.6 diesel is such a refreshing change, it really is a very good engine and extremely pokey. In sport mode it takes off, and combined with the MPG (did 600 miles on the motorway last week with 1 tank) - for me a great engine choice.

The subwoofers look identical on the audi sound system vs B&O anyway... the audi sound system is more than good enough for me and the volume I have my music - loud but not deafening! Certainly goes lound enough.

Just completed my cars first proper clean and wax, inside and out, used mainly Autoglym products after I acquired a cheap lifeshine kit off eBay for £29 (bargain bucket!!). Must say I am pretty impressed with the results particularly with the autoglym high gloss and with the pictures considering it has been overcast and cloudy all day long even for the pictures. Can provide details of the regime and what I used for anyone interested.

Finally picked up my 1.2 TFSI with S-Line suspension on Friday :D

All I can say is WOW, I thought my A1's interior was good but the A3's is even better.

Here's a quick picture.

Looks like new aghain, more than shades of 1st sept! By coincidence, the wife said to me today " isn't it about time you cleaned your car?". Dave, let me know your regime, would be much appreciated.

I actually think it looks better than collection day, comparing the pics the finish is more glossy and it was Sunny on 1st September when we took pictures. The dealer PDI bloke left a few residue marks which had been bugging me, am getting a bit OCD with the car cleaning these day

Regime was pretty simple as did not need to paint clean or polish (but still took 2.5 hours) as only a month old, but wheels pretty dirty after a lot of motorway diving.

Used mainly autoglym products except for wash sponge and drying towel which were both dodo juice microfibre, used several other polishing cloths from various sources and an autoglym synthetic chamois for drying windows and wheels.

1. Autoglym shampoo conditioner, two bucket method, and pressure washer rinsed and then dried
2. Autoglym high gloss on the bodywork (very impressed)
3. Autoglym wheel cleaner and sealed with wonder wheels spray sealant, Maguiars tire gel used on the wheels
4. Windows - outside, Autoglym glass polish, inside Mr muscle glass cleaner
5. Trims inside and out - Autoglym vinyl and rubber cleaner, upholstery/leather obviously still very clean so used no cleaner just a vacuum cleaner.
