In my Audi i have the RNS-E navigation MK3 LED 2012 G Part number: 8P0 035 193 G installed I can control most of the sub menus from the MFSW but what is really annoying when I select the 'TEL' menu from the RNSE I cannot move around the sub menu sections e.g. scroll up and down the call lists with control on the steering wheel, I have to use the knob on the stereo to do this.

But this works perfectly well when i am in the RADIO or MEDIA menus I can successfully control the sub menus e.g select radio stations and tracks via the steering wheel controls. I'm a tad confused why this would be deactivated in the TEL menu.

Anyone else find this a real annoyance or is it a case of programming the system?

Didnt think there was a Mk3 RNSE unit in the 8P's. Latest is the Mk2 with gloss surround. Maybe Im wrong and someone will slap me later......Nige give me a slap dude.:eiertritt:

Yeah, mk2 only, it is annoying but it's the same on all Audi's that the phone menus do not sync with the steering wheel.

Sorry to hijack but I'm considering upgrading to an RNS unit and had a couple of questions

1) could I still use the iPod dock in my glovebox with this unit? Makes it easier to charge my phone.

2) can I copy apple lossless files to the SD card or does it only recognise MP3's?

Thanks

On my MK2 you can only scroll, ring and dial your phonebook from the steering wheel by pressing the MODE button then the scroll wheel on the left

That's not what he meant, he wants the RNS-E TEL menu to be in sync with the steering wheel TEL mode.
