Hope you enjoy the car.

If you're looking for over 400bhp,you'll be needing a new turbo, and all the other bits,so this forum will have another victim!

Exactly.

Have a good trawl through some of the BT threads here and you'll get plenty of useful bits and pieces.

sweet, ill have a look

Shameless plug here...have a trawl through mine if you can bear it.

Has most of the good parts to buy,and some things to avoid.

Will have a few bots and bobs for under the bonnet with me in a few weeks :D

polished alu dipstick
revo pcv revamp kit
Forge coolent hoses

after this its time to get saving for my stage 1 map and milly cat back from mark at brotek :)

If you're planning on a BT build,be very careful not to duplicate any work done at lower stages, and go only for what you'll need later,as it may save a bit overall.

Much of what you'll need is applicable to the earlier stages, but I would go to Stg2+(i.e.uprated HPFP software) direct from Stg1 rather than all of the intermediate steps.

Somewhere along the way, uprating the brakes and suspension before the BT step would get you the most out of the car,and you would need it before any more comes along.

Only doing the stage 1 part then will be straight to stage 2+ with suspension mods, clutch and brakes :)

Good move.

There are plenty of good brake options now,and at least a few suspension options......if you're going into the 400s,then I can recommend the Spec Stg3+ clutch.

Good for around 580lbs,and light/easy to use around town.

I've used the kW v3 kit and got on very well with it.
The kit I have now isn't particularly road friendly but the v3 benefits from time spent getting the settings to your likings.

Also drop a line to N8 or DaveB1970 for brakes.
The AP kit is good and Dave will give you good prices and good advice.

kw v3's are great. you want to upgrade your arb's at some point too..

been looking at the h&r arb's, they any good ?
Absolutely fine, along with Whiteline and Eibach.

I don't think there's much if anything to choose between them.

Ill be going through you for alot of parts i think mark :) have to get a few free stickers to advertise aswell ;)

i been looking into ARBs for a wee while now, are the H&R only ones that provide thicker rear bar? i have seen things that say the thicker rear sway bar reduces the understeer so the H&R 24 front and 26 rear in theory better than supposed to there 28 front and 24 rear which is dearer?

if none of this matters id rather save a good bit on the KW roll bars but i dont want to be kicking myself if the slightly dearer options are noticeably better?

In theory, yes, but I think the major improvement is in reducing body roll.

hmmm i dont know what to do, think it maybe thicker rear ones atm as it looks.

However, out of interest any one tried the thicker rear ones compaired to the normal ones that has any input would be cool?

you can get whiteline rear arb and go from there as they are th only ones that sell them separately.
i've got h&r kit, tried both front and rear hard, and as much as i loved that go cart feel, i noticed a bit of understeer present on a damp road, and on a snow, so went for front soft and back hard and it's best combo for daily driven car with ocasional blast (from my experience).

So you would say replace just the back one then and leave front standard? Rather than the front n back kit? (I could buy kit try it and sell front if not liking it hmm?)

i doubt someone would buy just the front one.
if you're buying a kit, it's adjustable. you can try hard hard, soft soft, and soft hard and see what suits your needs the best.

Cool might be both bars then. Get this arranged in next couple weeks hopefully :)

Im undecided about the kw and the h&r. What ever 1's i decide to buy ill have the in a few months :)
