Diito that re mag ride - have it on my RS and don't like it one bit. The handling is inconsistent and on a damp (not totally wet) road, the car feels quite twitchy. Then you put it in sport mode and all that does is make the car uncomfortable! It doesn't corner any better - I had a track day with it and proved that one!
DO NOT agree about the 19" wheels. Got them on my TT and the ride is just fine if left out of sport mode. Plenty of similar feedback on the TT Forum if you visit that site.
I need to change my battlewagon early next year and an S3 Sportback looks like where I will put my money. Already got a Porsche Cayman S on order to replace my TT RS - Imola Yellow - just thinking about it gives me a semi! LOL! I'm still a bit unsure about the S3 as having now driven one, there were a few issues, especially the lack of thigh support in the bucket seats. Maybe the standard sports seats will be better? I've talked my local Audi dealer to let me have their S3 demonstrator for an extended test drive, when it arrives in a few weeks. Not happy that some of the better S3 colours are not available either. The new car looks even more plain than the last one! I previously had an S3 sportback, ibis white, black alloys, privacy glass and black styling pack - now that did look the biz. Sorry chaps but I do get why a lot of you want the S3 as it doesn't shout about itself, but if I spending nearly £38k on a performance car, I do at least want something that stands out from a base model with an S line package...
