Has anyone got any pictures of the rear LED lights in operation? I'm particularly interested in the indicators.

Cheers

Thanks. I did try google - Honest! I must have been using the wrong search terms. I kept getting 8P rear lights or full LED headlights.

haha! I was only ribbing!

Anything you want to know about them specifically?

From looking at mine it appears like multiple LEDs whereas the actual lights use optics like the 8P did. They're very bright and flick on and off quickly.

I'm wondering if there are multiple LEDs in each half or just clever optics. If there are multiple LEDs I might have a go at modding them to work like the sweeping indicators/QUOTE]

rear's look like multiple LED's form the pictures whereas the front eyebrow DLR's are super cool light pipe technology from 3 LED's, can't wait to get a closer look when I get mine, as light pipe technology is really cool, it's all in the injection moulding of the covers

If you manage it, please post a tutorial or something! Would there be any legal issues with doing this?

It'll be a while - I'm not expecting my car before September! Could be a bit complicated too but I'd try and do a tutorial.

IANAL but I'd think it's legal in Europe (the R8 does it). Probably not legal in America.

Yeh - not so much that the effect itself is illegal, but more that you'd modify from the manufacturers original spec/function... guess I'm just being paranoid!

How, coding with vcds or similar?

That approach *might* be possible. Might require fitting some parts from the R8 though and I'm doubtful it could be done.

I'm thinking of adding a little custom electronics module behind each rear light cluster (four in total) that would delay the switch on of the individual segments.
