Right Boys and Girls, when I was giving the old engine a "once over" I noticed what could be described as light weeping / spray fluid ( looks like oil) on the engine / clutch housing on the roadside of the car at the back of the block. Looks like it may be coming from a metal breather pipe which has a cable running out of it. Just wondering if it's anything I should be concerned about. Never noticed it before, but really never had a look at the back of the engine either, so it may have been there for a while.
Sorry for the crappy pic but couldn't get a better image. The pipe I am talking about is dead centre of the pic. This pic was taking from over the roadside wheel arch.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Cheers

Is that pipe a heat shield for the cable? The cat is underneath it. Not sure.

It's the pipe with the cable above the cat that am concerned about. That would appear to be weeping a wee bit and there's traces of oil ( v slight ) on the casing which I reckon is behind the clutch.

Cheers
