Not for the want of trying; had my boy bag packed with all the essential sustenance and detailing gear, tank brimmed, car cleaned and ready to go but sometimes it is just not meant to be. I'll be there next time.

I agree Sandra, I'm more than happy for someone else to do the next write up, I'd like to read others opinions on the RS3 generally and the meet.

Did you set any other sections challenges for articles? It would be good to read thoughts on the other Audis and interest areas on the site too. I'd be interested to know what it's really like to own an R8 or hear the initial owner impressions on the new RS6 etc. I wish I could find more good quality and in depth owner written (not press who spend only a few hours with the car and don't have to live with and pay for the cars and maintenance etc) material to help make informed buying choices. There are some good threads on here for sure but you sometimes have to dig for them, seeing them as articles would be useful.

There will be new articles appearing in the magazine soon about members thoughts on there own cars. It just takes time for people to write them up and take pics. Keep an eye on the magazine Mark. :) x

Thanks Sandra, I appreciate the positive feedback. It's the first time I've really written any articles like this and I didn't know if I could do it but wanted to give it a go. I think anyone could write an article if they want to. I really like this idea by Matt Cutts, do something new every 30 days, it makes life a lot more fun!

As for writing stories you pretty much just need to follow the pattern of good films which are almost all based on ideas from 'The Heroes Journey' by Joseph Campbell. We are all on a journey and it seems best to me to enjoy it!

Very enjoyable read mark, I think you captured the thrill of the day that you all not only enjoyed but will live with you forever.

The “Feel This Moment” video is spot on and flows with the article. :icon_thumright:

I see my quote was used “YES” ;) and i had a mention in the credits! Thank you Robbie

In my limited experience giving a woman a gun is almost always a mistake. :gun2:

As for Spooky and the flag, poor robbie was off-white enough after his kart track laps, seeing a ghostly chequered flag floating mysteriously above the track when he still has several laps to do might finish the poor boy off!

Dont you worry about Robbie, he is Scottish and made of sterner stuff. I would be good with the gun Mark. Any cheating and i will shoot, lol. I even have your grid person sorted. You best pm the location to me so i know where im going, lol. :) x

Iv been doing something similar to this since I was very young MBK.
I have found out iv not got long to live…. and when someone finds out this news they may call doing things before they die a bucket list, but what I have been doing is trying to add 3 new amazing things, every year of my life that i not done before.

I found that 3 is achievable, (no good picking a number you not going to achieve) and I don’t stop if iv done 3 amazing things in one calendar year, anything more will be a bonus.

What I mean by amazing things, some may find trivia, but they all add upto a life time of wonderful memories.

Recognize this MBK?

Ok John, you can be the grid girl, ooops sorry i meant guy, lol. :) x

Well OK John if you're sure...Audi have made clear that the grid 'persons' must wear appropriate approved outfits and have suggested these from Le Mans, they've been used once before but we didn't think you'd mind...

Sorry to hear that. As I said in the article it's not how many breaths you take it's how many times your breath is taken away. I like the Voltaire quote "We never live, we are always in expectation of living" as Sandra said Carpe Diem, seize the day. That's why you saw me out on the Karts and around the evo triangle at the meet, take the chance when it presents itself.

The A4069 is an awesome road, one of the very best - who needs Stelvio when we have this on the doorstep? All that matters is you enjoy the 3 things you do.

If you like to read take a look at this book Spark by Dr John Ratey John J. Ratey, MD exercise can have some remarkable effects on the body.

Here you go Spooky, just for you, I think Randy Pausch's Last Lecture is inspiring for all:

Don’t be sorry MBK, when I say I found out “iv not got long to live” I mean iv got 100 years tops?

Im not trying to make light of that fact, but point out some don’t get up and do things cos they think they going to live forever.

That’s what I liked about your RS3 Meet, you got out there and you all “seized the Day”

Well said Spooky. Get up and go is the right attitude to life. Life is too short and its not a trial run, go out there and grab each new experience and enjoy. :) x

Luckily for me there are always more people to inspire with these messages, keeps me happily employed anyway! Find something you love to do in life and do that, forget about the money it will follow when you get good enough at what you do, then the toys follow too and you get to have days out like this enjoying them.
