hi all as above i need vag com to switch off air bag light , were can i buy it ive seen pepole on ebay selling a copy of vag com and a lead will this work ?

i need links if possible ,

or if any one in norfolk with vag com want to earn some pennys let me know

I have the eBay cable and it just tells you what codes there are (and not all), which is still handy. I have a mate with a generic OBD2 machine which was £30 and that clears codes but doesn't tell you of all the Vagcom codes. Still, it's f88k loads cheaper than buying the real deal. My car was a grand so paying a 1/4 again on Vagcom doesn't make sense.

you wont find anyother software for that money, bear in mind a snap on veros starts at £6500 and it wont do everything VCDS does

Iirc cheapo cables won't turn off airbags lights, where are you based? Maybe a local user can do it for you? Try vids section user map or even eBay for vids services

Have you fixed the airbag problem first?

VCDS won't turn the light off unless its fixed, I'm guessing you're using it to diagnose the fault and clear the code?

I got mine from an online shop in the uk called Gendan.

cheap ebay cables and a registered version of VCDS lite will give full functionality.... the question to ask is are you trying to clear a fault or code the airbag light out as these are different things...

Registered version of VCDS will do both of these things..

theres no problem , ive fitted a aftermarket sterring wheel so theres no air bag , and it comes with a resistor to put in line so the air bag light goes off but the fault code is still in the air bag ecu so needs clearing
