Hi all

We are having some problems with the new server. Mostly this seems to be due to the DNSs around the world not seeming to update as quickly as we hoped. There have been one or to little problems with image up loading etc an some of these are now fixed. Everyone is working on solving these problems ASAP.

Were sorry for the issues but we need to do the server upgrade.

If you do find a problem please do post about it just incase we haven't seen it.

The only things that you don't need to post about are the Thanks missing and the instant email notification also being missing.

Many thanks

Adam & the rest of the people fixing things

Uploading pics to albums - but i'll survive till things are sorted

Thanks Adam

Good point so..... If you are still having problems try this:

How to clear your DNS cache

The following methods allow you to remove old and inaccurate DNS information that are causing errors.

Windows® XP, 2000, or Vista®

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. On the Start menu, click Run....
    • If you do not see the Run command in Vista, enter "run" in the Search bar.
  3. Type the following in the Run text box: ipconfig /flushdns

Here's a video for windows 7

MacOS® 10.7

  1. Click Applications.
  2. Click Utilities.
  3. Double-click the Terminal application.
  4. Type the following: sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
    • warning.gif
Warning: To run this command, you will need to know the computer's Admin account password.

MacOS® 10.5 and 10.6

  1. Click Applications.
  2. Click Utilities.
  3. Double-click the Terminal application.
  4. Type the following: dscacheutil -flushcache

Here's a video for the macs

Please let me know if you are still having problems

Many thanks

^ Forgetting Windows 8

Go to desktop.
Presss CTRL+Shift+ESC.
Task Manager should open.
Click File, Run New Tasks.
Type in CMD, press ok.
Then type in the ipconfig /flushdns

That did not work for me.

I'm still having issues viewing posts that I could view yesterday.
The screen is blank with no error but it still works if I view the post without logging in.

The Scotland meets section has exploded... elements that make up the page are displaying expanded and in a list. Seems to be the same in the individual threads. Similar thing happening to PMs, they're showing at full width with little or no formatting between the sender, subject and message body.

Hi all sorry about that way too long outage and the strange graphics problem... These are were due to the move to the new server and the turning off of the old... Not quite all the paths were quite right (finger problems) and we had to find them all and sort it.

I hope that we don't see anything on that scale again soon.

Many thanks

Adam
