The speedo looks like a hesitation due to finally getting grip so drops slightly. Only reason the speedo shot up so quick was the lack of traction.
 
No it didn't hesitate, I lifted off then went back on. I thought about changing gear then decided to rinse it out to top whack haha.
 
Id dare say sam :), purs isnt dont yet is it so may be a contender haha.

I can't wait to start my pikey build :)

Had the annoyance of following a gritter home the other night, there was a van in front of me so it was kicking up loads of grit and my front bumper is ruined and my engine bay and intercooler is full of salt :(

Not going to the Ace this month, we will wait until Ron is fixed then convoy down and stay with Aaron/Cov HQ I think.

Yeah the golf is back on the road! finally after about 3 months but its a good feeling anyway. I was going to jump on the k04 band wagon but im enjoying my perky k03s too much. I might take it back to Nick so he can map in the water meth. would be good to get a before and after dyno too. everyone keeps asking me what its running and I have no idea lol
 
Just a pre warning, don't view the post I am about to make Marty.

It will stop you from ever getting rid of your K03s. It also shows the incredible traction 319lbft gives a FWD car. I literally could not get it to stop spinning no matter how far I took my foot off the throttle...The only time it stopped was when I totally took my foot off, then as soon as I put half throttle back on it started spinning again haha.
 


Literally the second most pointless car on this forum.

I thought VVT would have given you a more drivable engine. What's the reasons for removing it?

It does nothing for my car.

On yours the VVT constantly adjusts based on engine loads, but on a K03 car it acts as an emissions system on cold start like the SAI. Once warm it simply acts as a tensioner.

Couldn't be bothered to swap it across when we changed the head, I might do depending on how Niki gets on with K03 VVT mapping.

No to put it right, when we replaced the head i hadnt given the VVT a thought, my VVT compressor was at work, compressing Rons chain tensioner, so we took the correct choice of not changing it :)

It acts as an emissions system on the k03 as the vvt map is set to no advance through the whole map!! Copy in a s3 to TT vvt map and you'll have active vvt tuning.. Its there just not used.. Use it a gain the benefit of an extra 23 degree advance cam timing when off boost...

In part the k03s isn't that laggy so there isn't as much benefit as you would find on the k04.. It's still worth using though

Congratulations on losing traction on a wet road. My works van does that with the traction control off.
