Yeah had mine for the A3 for few months but was lower down on my list to fit, does require as above some glueing or sealant as the fitment for the audi's is deeper than the passat, but connections are same for A3, passenger side needs either the loom pulling slightly over to plug in or cutting & extending by couple of inches.

Didn't need to do this with the A4 - it was just a case of 'plug (glue) & play' :o.k:

nice info you have put up i like it wonder if they will fit b5's?

Depends on how much time u have to make it fit, lol

Morning Nige. Busy weekend by chance ???

Sorry fella didnt see this one, well if honest did literally nothing mainly cause ****** weather & stupid cough wont go away & when it starts it takes ages to die down, but got some stronger drugs now so hope resolves

I only got new battery installed(varta silver dynamic), oil change & the onboard K module installed this weekend which considering the list I had for this weekend is very crap, had so many wiring jobs to do, was disappointed overall, but tomorrows another day for sure & also discovered a boiled egg in my tyre so considering wheel/tyre upgrade now given tyres usually done in pairs anyway, not happy about that tbh as more money & got more important things to do on car than new wheels etc, but mot, tax & insurance up at end of Jan so has to be done & the main beam wiring, internal **** like lightswitch fixed in place as will fail otherwise, its hanging of cable tie given the trims of for wiring, lol

But had an idea for mod today for kerb lighting when reversing into a dark space so dont kerb the ****** wheels so much, but it can wait

this part no. 5MO 955 986 9B9 doesn't seem to turn up any results at all with vw dealers in the US.

is there a year I can grab for this part? something to get me closer to that jet?

thanks all!

its actually 5M0 not 5MO which might well explain the problem, however i cant find a mention of 5M0955986 in vagcat at all, a google points to it being a valid part number, so perhaps its just too new to be listed on vagcat.

the 9b9 bit on the end is just the color of the part, so thats not entirely required when searching for it....

Just wondering what kind of glue people used to hold the sprayer in place... thanks!

I tried a couple of so called 'extreme glues' before I settled for 'super' glue - because of it's quick grab capacity.

That said - once I'd positioned them I used a 'prop' to hold them in place for a little while too....

you can alternatively use blu-tack but it has a higher rate of failure...

Sorry for my useless input...

Super Glue should be fine, methinks

My wifes Skoda has the fan jet but my RS4 has the water pistol - think I'm going to have to do this mod...

looking on etka the r8 uses heated spray jets...anyone know if these are fan ones?

(my fan ones are still held in by cardboard lol, how many folk have done this mod now?)

The Passat jets are heated, are you not using the heated versions? The R8 jets are handed which may lead to alignment issues. My fan ones are still on the shelf in the garage, one day......

Mmm, digging around in ETKA looks like the A3 and A4 jets are handed too. However the Passat jets are not.

I've got the heated versions......

As for alignment, you have to have them set to the highest vertical setting for them to be effective, and indeed may need to adjust their horizontal position by refixing their fixed position under the hood. Took me a couple of tries to get them spot on

im going to see if i can get a look under the bonnet of a r8 soon, to see if these will work.

I cant order any though as there are non in the country :(

I have a old crappy one's and this morning at -3C they were not squirting out any water, if I get the passat ones that are heated how do I connect up the heating part? Or are the a4's already heated?

They should be heated already mate. No other reason for them to be plugged in electrically if the existing ones arent heated. That's my understanding anyway.

Make sure you get the right part number!!:jester:

Says priced each near bottom! Still good price, I paid about £17 each from TPS the other day. Also posted from Poland! Although i did order a oem new oil temp sensor from Poland last week and it arrived within 3 days and was only £12.98 posted apposed to £33 over here :)

Have you fitted the fan jets yet? If so, would you say it's definitely worth doing? What I mean is; is it simply a nice effect to look at, or does it actually do a better job of cleaning the windscreen?

Well, I've just ordered a pair. Shipping for two is £4.00, so the total cost is £24.00, barely more than the dealer price for one.

Hmmmm...I think you'll find that's 10 each, not per pair.

Still, it beats the price I was quoted yesterday by a VW dealer, which was £20 and some pence each - and the reason I decided not to bother, but to put my energies instead into properly aligning the jets on the current washers.

lol I was shattered when I brought them and assumed they were a pair. I will buy another one now lol
