Hi Guys,

Might be a dafte question, but...

I've just agreed to but a set of RSTT's that were being sold in teh classified section, but just noticed the tyre sizes are different. Two are 225 40 18 and the other two are 225 45 18. Is that going to cause me an issue?

Thanks.

Sorry typo! 225 40 18 and 225 45 18!!!!

Apologies!

I edited the original post to correct the typo.

different rolling radius from front to rear will cause issues with ESP and haldex... the speed sensors will see the one set of wheels going faster than the others and potentially misinterpret this as wheelspin..

Thanks for all the replies guys. Will stick to stock 17" Avus alloys and get them refurbed.

Just a quick one related to this, will having say two 225/45/17 tyres and two 205/45/17 tyres cause any problems?

If the rolling radius is different then yes...

Ah might need some new tyres then as Ive just discovered my rears are wider than the fronts?! (done before I bought the car). Also what would be the correct width tyre for a 17'' RSTT? 225 or 205?
