Hi Im wondering if any body can advise Me on which tyres I can use on a set of Bentley Rims !! The Rims are 19" 9j (Et 41) and are to be fitted to an S3 8P (2007) .The Rims are fitted with 215/35 19 but wasnt really wanting to run that size of tyre and unless I really had to .I would prefer 225`s or even 235`s,also my plan was to lower the car as well !! Any help on this would be great ...

235 will rub, and 225 will probably rub too (depending on lowering). 9j is just too wide to run anything other than a 215 with the limited offset range that'll clear the strut and arch.

Yeah, pretty sure you can get away with 235 on an 8j just because you can set it further into the arch (higher ET).

You might get away with 225 on the rear, is the car lowered at all? Remove the screw in the rear arch. The front you might have to run a 215, not too sure if the stretch will be too much on a 9j. They are a good offset which helps your cause.

Well it isnt lowered yet ,but I`ve got Eibach arb`s to fit along with Bilstein coil overs !! Plus you get a better selection of tyres in a 225 than the 215 ...I think the bentleys look quality ,but if Im going to get hastle think I might just end up selling them on ....

How does the car handle when running the 215`s ,or have you ever tried or heard of anybody running 225`s on a 9j bentley rim ? Also do the bentley rims need spigot rings or longer wheel bolts ,or do the standard bolts do the job ?
