Why did you choose your member name and what does it mean?

Some have what looks like obvious member names and some don’t, but if you like to say..

What does your member name mean?
 
Mine is a nickname my mates gave me and part of my second name.
So just for them I got the private plate CO54 MCA

I used the name avlo as my eldest daughters name is ava-louise so avlo for short :-D
 
It started out as my Xbox Live gamertag. It was supposed to be a spelling variation on "Jamesy" (as my name is James) but all the yanks pronounced it "Jam-easy" so that's now how I pronounce it without even thinking (not that I ever really say it aloud). Pretty much every username has since just become my gamertag: Jameze, or a variation of.
 
Mine means I have moved on from my Nova SRi days... :D

Only joking, I was a GTi Driver till the Audi bug bit.
 
mine's ctd, short for crash test dummy, when i was an apprentice many years ago my fitter gave me the name because i used to fall off my motorbike ALOT.........and i still do
 
A4 - that bit should be quite obvious...:uhm:

MaJiK - The last 3 letters on my plate are "MJK" (hence the upper case letters in the user name) so decided to name it "Majik".

Tbh I didn’t think it would be the first time someone had asked this question, but and tbh I was just trying to think of threads that may get people posting just like the “number in a photo thread”

I had a few ideas for threads, (to get others posting) not just in the General Chat but the Motorsport and Music and Photography competitions where I was willing to (if it was ok with Admin) give prizes out of my own pocket.

I feel your response has just made me feel like why bother!!

There’s no doubt that you do help members, but i find you ***** and arrogant and just like this post unhelpful most of the time.

I did click on your link tosee that a thread like this was done in 2011 and
In 2009? but some members have change they’re screen name in the last few weeks!!, plus we have got new members since them threads?? :whistle2:

Mine is after a TV programme which was later made into a film.

Hi Spooky, i think you should post any ideas you have in whatever section you wish. The forum and all its sections are there for the members to use. I will pass your ideas to admin about the possibility of running some competitions and let you know if its a viable option. :) x

Just make sure they post it in the correct sections or there's no point in having sections.
Might as well be one massive free for all. :)

I use to run a photography competition thread, there was no prizes but you did win the chance to pick the next theme.
It worked ok for a bit but lacked interest.
There same 4-6 people posted.
I think its cause most people stick to their own section and very rarely venture any where else.
But if you have any idea for a post, do a quick search and see if its been done, if it has, do a thread revival.
A lot of the old timer members can get a bit bored of the same old thread popping up and revival is good cause it keeps everything together.
Just my 2p any way.

Sidi came from the initials of a previous job title (Sauer Industries Designated Instructor). Some of us went into a bar in the US and paid a cover charge, which got us a numbered ticket, which was entered into a raffle. My number was called and I won a 6' teddy bear, it came back with us to where we were and was referred to as Sidi's bear, Sidi and the bear and Sidibear came from it. We logged him as a guest instructor and didn't tell anyone he was a stuffed bear and they gave him a food allowance on site as well as a security pass, which we took great delight in taking him to get his photo done and paw print taken.
I have been called Sidi or Sidibear for over 25 years now, despite my name being Paul.
 
My surname is Tacchi and i used to work with a kid with Autism

One day he just came out with it but in a robotic voice..........Mr Tackalakalaka

and it just stayed with me for 2 years or so as my nick name

My last name is Knox, my school nickname was knoxie and it stuck, that was until one night. My boss's wedding, we all camped out in his field and all us workers got totally smashed on the free booze, as you do I copped off with the shop girl and shared my tent with her, I woke up in the morning to all the other marshals chanting "naked knoxie naked knoxie" so I am known elsewhere on the net/Xbox as naked knoxie :)

Hmm..

Well mine is a derivative of my high school nickname, which I still have at the age of 34, which is Beany, becuase i'm a bean pole. In fact, I can say that a fair few people I know have no idea my name is actually Nick, i'm just Bean.

For those of our forum members that are fluent in French, you will recognise the French/English translation of bean is Beanoir....as picked up on a lads holiday to France back in the mid 90s.
