Will they go on?? Cant really find much about them on the net?? Also which size tyres would look/fit best as I dont want to lower the can anymore than factory, factory lowered is how I rooolllll :)

I can't see 18' wheels fitting much, if anything! On the other hand 18" fat fives should probably fit, as they're an Audi wheel. With regards to the tyres, it all depends on the offset, whether you're running spacers, how low the car actually is. It's something only you can decide really, or do what I do and go through as many threads as possible showing B6 wheels, offsets and tyre sizes to give yourself an idea.

Hmmm cheers for the input, at the mo its a £600 leap into the unknown and at this price for a set of alloys I dont want to be wrong!!

they will fit

i dont get your answer ?
u cant see 18" fitting much ?
as he said hes running standard so spacers ect dont come into it

Just to clarify its a standard A4 1.8T Sport. Also, I dont want it to look like some high riding usual runabout that someones just mashed alloys onto, so what tyres should I be on the lookout for? :)

he's being a **** mate some mothers do have em

Standard factory size tyres for 18's on a B6 are 235/40 R18.

Did a Google search and found this site Original Felge 4e0601025m1h7, which I think are Fat fives? They are 8.5x18 et45. They should fit straight on.

Your oringinal post said 18' instead of 18", so 18' (18 feet) would struggle to go on I think. I had an lol moment when I read his comment, not in a bad way, just seen the funny sarcastic side, don't think anything bad was meant by it.

haha, perhaps thats where I'm going wrong with the mrs :p

Really? No, just trying to be humorous, you know many people running 18 foot wheels? colinurquhart worked it out....but thanks for the insult anyway.

@bez101, Sorry I should have been a bit clearer, I don't know what offset or size fat fives are and although he's running stock suspension, I didn't know whether he would need spacers. Hence my comment.

Hehe no love lost....

What bulbs are the best for a headlight upgrade as the stock ones are pretty gash

I've heard good things about Osram Nightbreakers, but haven't tried them myself. I did try the Halfrauds extreme brightness bulbs but wasn't impressed. I did a hid conversion over the weekend, much much better.

Yes they do fit, audizine has a few cars with them on...here's one example. There's a silver one i was trying to find which looked amazing...but i can't find it :(

It appears them pesky americans call them flat fives?

Here's another car, it looks very nice :)

Picking mine up tonight, they're on need of a refurb but I work in a paint shop so all good :D

Sam (dsmclark40v) had them on his S4, there's pics in the sticky thread I think.

The tyres on the rims are 245 45 18, do you think they will rub?? (running stock sport suspention)

I don't know, I'm not the best person to answer that one so I'll leave it to someone who has more experience of tyres.

I think you should do them chrome/polished, like on the second car I posted. They would look amazing.

Haha, yes I agree they would. But if I were to polish these wheels up it would take a very long time, I have a friend that owns a alloy polishing business but it would be a ongoing job I'm afraid. My rims will be sanded right back to bare alloy, primed, flatted then painted. I was thinking about a gunmetal colour but I think on dark cars silver is always best. My a4 is just like the one in the first pic, that's just how I want it looking too, shamoooooooth!

245/45/18 is large for the A4 and speedo will be out. Sell the tyres and get 235/40/18s on :)

Osram night breakers are one of the best halogen bulbs on the market

I loved them but I couldn't decide which one to keep but had to get rid of one set and didn't want to get rid of the avus.
Damn I miss the S4

The speedo being out I can live with, it's the rubbing that concerns me :)

All speedo's read fast anyway , just check it with a satnav, so all you will be doing is probably making it more accurate all you cad do is trial fit them , maybe you might need some 5mm spacers

They will rub with the bigger tyres, they were meant for a8/s8 so no good on the b6. Change the tyres to 235/40/18 and you will have no rubbing issues- might want to space them out 10-15mm on the back to fill the arches properly ! Here's my a6 on them:

Ahh really?! That's a shame and didn't want to wait any longer to get them on plus the tyres are sooo expensive :(

I was running 225/40/18's on mine as they were originally on my B5. So you could always get some of those as they will be cheaper. I thought they looked good with the stretch too as it made the wheels look bigger. The ride didn't feel affected in anyway from the 235's

According to another post they were off an A8 so shouldn't need adapters.

There's two versions, the a8 versions which are 5x112, and the tt versions, which i believe are 17's, and 5x100.

...i think :D

Just for the record (and coz I'm and impatient git) has anyone acually tries 18's with 245 40 18 tyres on a B6??

Also I ran a spacer on the front from memory as it was a bit tight to the brakes but that was on an s4 so it might be different on yours
