As title difficult to explain the noise but definatly not healthy, only happens on full boost in 1st and 2nd. F**ked engine mount maybe?

???not if it's coming from the roof & sounds like a squashed chicken, mate. :p

wheel bearing
turbo
try to explain the sound.

dentist drill ?
im thinking turbo.

I meant passenger side, always get O/S and N/S mixed up. It'll only happen briefly when on peak boost around 3.5k revs but as said only in 1st and 2nd. best I can explain it is it's like a judder noise.

Metal binding metal ?
judder noise ?
best thing is record said noise or take it to a garage.

It will be your 1/2nd syncro hows the gears from cold are they quite stiff difficulty selecting 2nd from cold if so i have the same problem you can hear it slightly at idle then if you slowly dip the clutch you hear the noise disappear, it could be something else im just going off my symptoms which i the the syncro meshs are goosed on my 1/2nd syncro hub !! I just live with it, for now that is lol

Was thinking its gearbox related as it remapped with 168,000 miles I reckon it's has quite a few full throttle starts and 1st/2nd just can't can't any more abuse. I'll just live with it till it dies. Then strip the car...

Try the carrier bearing on the drive shaft. It made on helluva shudder, and it was centralized in the car. You could feel it right under the arm rest... It didn't do it all the time. I guess it just went haywire when you upset it. Tried to get a bearing from the dealership with no luck. They wanted to sell me the entire drive shaft assembly for $1200. 034 motorsport sells just the bearing. Hope this helps.
