Hi guys, purchased some JOM coilovers from DPM performance for my DTM last week. Delivery was really fast even though they ordered them directly from Germany. Wanted to say thanks to Ryan_hol as he gave me some great feedback on these, which is the main reason I bought them. The coilovers are great for street use and soak up the bumps lovely. Will be purchasing some spacers to stance her out correctly too.

After some lengthy testing, she now sits at a reasonable height managing to get over all speed bumps locally and in car parks etc. Here are a few pics for you, re painted the lug bolt caps as I accidently stepped on a few. Hope you guys like it. Gav

Looking good! How much did you lower by? What spacers are you going for? Hoping to do the same with my DTM next month :D

Hi Olly!

The front is roughly 2 inches from the bottom of the thread and the rear is just the spring (removed bottom spring rubber and left out height adjustment thread). The front just clears going up car parks I've tried with around 1mm gap before the wheels touch. Driving spiritedly she doesn't rub and copes with the bumps well, even with a full car.

Spacer wise I've measured enough room for 10mm at the front and 20mm+ at the rear, will be removing the top arch liner bolt on the front wings as sometimes it catches on full lock. Not sure what make, any recommendations are welcome. :)

I have 10 f 12 r eibach hubcentric jobs they are spot on with same wheels as you on my avant but I am not as low wheels are flush

What do you mean?

Bonnet is raised by 6mm on the rear bolts and 4mm on the front ones. Insulation and the rear rubber seal has been removed. Makes a noticeable difference, but is a little noisier.. :/

You made your bonnet not fit I don't get it why would you do that? Am I missing something ?

its an 'ol skool air cooled veedub thing... peeps have been running adapted hinges since the sixties to get better airflow to the engine in the low pressure area at the rear of bugs/ghias/buses etc.

ive seen alot of MK2 golfs running these over the last few years.. but most of them required the clearance due to the huge turbos they're running!!

nice to see someone doing something different tho

Cheers for the info! I was planning on replacing my alloys after lowering, having seen your's i've changed my mind, the stock alloys look pretty good! Think i'm going for a set of FK Highsports, read good reviews about them. Make sure you update this thread with pics once you've fitted spacers, should look even better!

As for the bonnet spacers, certainly havent seen this done to an A4 before, I like it, good to be different!

Looks good, but wheels look a little lost in the arches now. Might be due to the style of wheel, what profile tyre have you got?
