How many RS3 owners on here?

Is CarrG (number 2) really a Mr Blobby car from another universe? Come on who are you kidding Noel Edmounds. Where's the pictures of your lurid color scheme. Then the next question would be why?

Just bought mine today, phantom black, ex-demo reg June 2012 with 1500 miles and loads of extras. Was very, very tempted by the mica blue I've seen here but couldn't justify the wait until next April/May/June etc. Photos to follow. Bye bye Scirocco, hello RS3.

Cheers mate, can't wait to get my hands on her!

Spec from memory includes matt aluminium external pack and internal inlays, bose sound system, adaptive headlights, privacy glass, lighting pack, sports seats (can't recall if they were buckets or standard actually), heated/folding/adjustable mirrors, cruise control (really?!), light and rain sensor pack, electric lumbar support... I wouldn't have gone for some of these if spec'ed new, notably cruise, but I don't think there's anything I'm missing out on.

Off topic, does the satnav recognise speed camera locations?

Hi Marcus, nice.

Looks like you have the standard sports seats. (not buckets) I've retro fitted cruise to mine, handy on the motorway.

The sat nav is poor, it's an older unit that they have done nothing with basically, so no it doesn't reconise Speed camera locations (unless someone on here knows different) plus it doesn't reconise the 6 digit postcodes either :readit:

Cheers

Hahaha..no it's Ibis White. :scared2:

That's disappointing, I'm losing the RNS 510 when the Scirocco goes and that did 7 digit post codes and was the best satnav I've used.

Just checked with the satnavsystems website, who enabled the 7 digit searching the RNS 510 and it seems they offer exclusively available software for speed/safety cameras, for the Audi RNS-E Navigation Plus - assuming that this is the unit in the RS3. No news on the 7 digit postcode though. I'll call them tomorrow and update if there is a result.

May have to consider this software upgrade, as the camera location feature has been really useful when driving in unfamiliar areas. Otherwise Road Angel Gem or Pogo might be an option...

Cheers

Marcus

I'll have to have a look at those updates, yes please report back on the Post code thingy. Yes I lost the RNS510 when my R32 and ED30 both went, both had the rear camera software/kit installed too, plus the A6 had a nice sat nav unit too...:blownose:

Hi and Welcome..I'll keep an eye out for you next month as I'm down in Cornwall with mine.

Ibis white isn't metallic, it's a solid colour. Did you buy your RS3 via Pistonheads? And what's fully loaded?:friends:

So out of the 23 of us on the RS3 section I was the only one present with my RS3 at AIP...... Shocking! Considering it was my first car event I had expected more. Know I know why I got a PM to ask if I wanted to display my RS3 in the ASN tent. At least it got a. Prime spot.... Right next to the BBQ, an R8 & Satan Child's (mod) Audi or was it a rocket car? At least weather was pretty decent, not too many trade stands, a few bizarre cars for my like & I am not keen on the grass cutters!

I couldn't make as to working nights this weekend, with one off shift no way could I have gone. Still there's always next year. Plus also my days of getting up at stupid oclock for car clubs (RSOC, VXR, Golf GTI, R32OC to name a few) are long gone..:jester:

Maybe 'Glacier White' going to Audi this morning.I'll find out.

Bought from AA performance in Bolton......I expect many may have seen it on Autotrader,as like me....always looking.

It's officially IBIS WHITE..so much for so called experts.

Yes thats the one I saw on Auto Trader. Yeah Ibis White. Glacier is metallic (Pearl) and not available unless you chose Audi Exculsive paint on the RS3.

Mines Sprint Blue.

Is this your one?

Used Audi Rs3 Hatchback 2.5t Fsi Rs3 Quattro 5dr S Tronic | A A Performance

If so those aren't bucket seats fitted, they are the standard sport seats and they never did a black edition. The mirrors have been painted black, as normally they are silver, or late ones ie coming off the procdution line now could have them painted body colour.

Looks nice though, like the white striping round the wheels instead of the red they normally have :friends:

Mos... That's the one...... Thanks for giving it your seal of approval,it was love at first sight.

Yes they arn't bucket seats.( Whats the number of the Trades Description peeps).. All passengers,if any of course, will be politely requested to keep their ***** off them.

Look under local council in your Yellow Pages for Trades Descriptions.

Where abouts are you in Pasty land?

In the country, between Truro & St Austell.

A30 Good drivers road, hardly any cameras.got up to 132 near Oakhampton years ago 2.5 BMW,before brain started to work. Dark and starting to rain. What a plank.

Posted this elsewhere too but this is the update: satnavsystems confirmed that they can supply the camera location software (quoted me about £100.00 to get it uploaded at the garage, £60.00 plus postage has also been quoted) but that there is no warning of cameras, other than the icon on the map, which is all I've been used to with the RNS510. He also confirmed that 7 digit postcode recognition, available for the RNS510, is unlikely to ever materialise for the RNSE.

PS, May see yous in the SW, as I'll be heading down for a week in Sept, but will have a toddler and dog with me so may be going a bit sedate!
