Hi all,

I bought a supersprint cat back exhaust and went to get it fitted yesterday, I got a call from the garage saying there was no place to put the lambada sensor and would need the car mapped to stage two and have a fuel pressure gauge or something along those lines fitted too can anybody give me any more insight to what is actually getting done to my car???
Thanks in advance
Murray

You need a sensor for the lambada?

let me guess, they've offered to sort it for you for a decent price? ****ers.

lamda sensors are in the downpipe and cat mate, one pre cat, one post cat, I'm fairly sure the S3 post cat lamda isn't in the exhaust centre section.

SOunds to me like they're full of ****. they're having you on. at Absolute worst case, if for some bizzare reason they're not having you on, they could weld a lamda boss in for about £20. Robbing *******s.

Thats sounds right mate as I supplied the cat and the rest of the exhaust and the said something about an uprated fuel line and would have to map it to stage two stop the car from overheating it does sound you are right and I'm a bit annoyed as I have used this garage for years!

You should pop over to bedrock in motherwell. They are a vw/aud specialist and really know their 1.8T's. John is a great guy as well and the banter is amazing.

Ok phoned the garage and have been told that the exhaust doesn't fit as it is rubbing against the fuel tank so I just said to put the original on and I'll pick the car up on monday!

Gonna get the supersprint exhaust on but will have to sort out the centre section as its rubbing against the fuel tank gonna send my ecu off in the post to be remapped!
