Thought I'd post up these shots of the B6 S4 brakes I've just had fitted to the B5 1.8 TQS

Fill up the 18" LM reps quite well

Had to add 15mm spacers though to get the wheels to fit on due to the offset. Have made the car's stance a bit more aggressive.

Before spacers:

rear calipers have now arrived so got everything I need to do the backs now.

How much poke have you got on the front?

Rear looks pretty flush, but the front tends to sit out a bit more?

Also, you really should be using hubcentric spacers, the type you have arent ideal, and can cause vibration/wobble issues!

Yeah the fronts sit out a slight bit more but they don't look to excessive.

The spacers are hubcentric apparently, well that's what the advert said, although tbh I wouldn't know the difference. How do I tell please?

They do fill the wheels very nicely.

Nicely done.

What did you need to convert and what size are they now?

Thanks! They are now 345mm.

I did a thread a about a week ago with pics of everything I got to do the conversion. I got 2nd hand B5 S4 uprights, fitted new wheel bearings to them (might as well) got new 345mm B6 S4 discs and new pads, 2nd hand B6 S4 front calipers and carriers.

Now the fronts are done I've just got everything together to convert the rears to 300mm discs. Will be doing that over the next couple of weeks.

hubcentric spacers should have a spigot for the wheels centre bore to sit onto, in the pics it doesnt look like they have this?

Yeah, they do have that luckily. Although you are right, the pic doesn't show it. Just had this problem recently actually. The wheels had a slightly bigger bore than the spigot on the hub, so had vibration issues at high speed. Bought some plastic spigot rings and now its fine.

Looking good mate and she sounds good too as you shot pasted me couple of week ago as i came out the house, loving the lm reps !! What you planning for the rears !!!

Ha. Thanks. Never saw you mate, where was that?

Got all the bits together now for the rears just waiting to fit them. Got 300mm B6 S4 rear discs and facelift B5 S4 calipers and pads with Trig brackets and extended brake hoses. Hopefully gonna fit those in the nexy few weeks.

Noticed a big difference already in the stopping power. Did Buckstones Road the other day like a man possessed lol.

Was between newbank and booths garden centres.

Sounds good mate im looking at doing the 300mm rears at some point how much did it set you back.

You cant beat a good drive up in the hills there lots of good roads up there i tend to just drive anywhere then end up in halifax or somewhere in huddersfield lol

Thanks. I'm half asleep most of the time. Mustn't have seen you. It does sound good on song. Get on your tits on long journeys tho. Very boomy.

The rear discs came as part of a package I got B6 S4 front discs, pads, calipers and carriers and rear discs, calipers and carriers (no pads) for about 350 quid. I stupidly sold the rear calipers and carriers for £50 as I was told they wouldn't fit. So I suppose the rear discs were effectively free.

Got some brackets and braided longer hoses off Trig on SRS for about £50

Got some new rear pads of ebay for £32.99

And got some B5 S4 facelift rear calipers from California (!) also off ebay for £100 and £40 postage

So cost me very little really. Paid a garage to do the fronts but gonna do the rears myself I think.

Yeah the roads up that end are awesome. Used to hammer them regularly back when I had a 380bhp Subaru. :)
