server overload?

About 10 minutes ago I got a database error then i couldn't connect to the site, it just timed out. when it did connect i got a message saying the server was too busy and come back later and I'm only getting on now to write this.

pages are loading very slowly at snails pace

just me or anyone else?

Seems ok for me at the moment.

I do get the database error on some links.

Its going fine now, albeit slowly .. Other sites are fine.

Hi all

We seem to be running the server quite hard. There were 1900+ people online and I guess a high % were doing searches etc and the server got a little stressed.

We have been trying to take some of the load off but there may need to be some little changes.

Will that not effect the server overload more?

It's part of the new search companies software.... They say not but I'm not sure I like it anyway it's removed for now...

Hi all sorry we had to sort out the new search that was causing a little problem with the database... Some of these mods take a day or two to bed in as we have to tweek the server...

Dont know, i will go check, phone is on charger. x
