It should. IIRC, its the steering wheel with the smaller, and more little indents around the centre that won't fit the PFL cars.....or something like that. I'm sure I'll be corrected soon.

Do a search, as someone else brought this up a little while back. Search the B5 forum.

It depends whats on the car just now, as they changed over in '97.

If your cars got the square 4 spoke with the massive Audi rings embossed in the middle, then the wheel from your first post will fit.

If its got the more rounded 4 spoke wheel, with the small chrome rings and the circular effect round it, then you'll need the later style wheel with the "many small dots"

Other way to tell is the fixing bolt. Early wheels have an external nut, with a thread cut into the outside of the column shaft. later ones have a 12mm ZXN bolt which screws into an internal thread.

^^^^ he's right, i do! lol.

i'll whip the airbag off and see if its the 12 point bolt or the 24mm nut. anything else i need to check? i take it i shouldnt run into problems of the airbag being different resistance/plug type wise? will it plug into the slip ring or have i a bit of soldering to do?

Thats the later style wheel. So you need a 3 spoke with the same style centre, ie many small dots, rather than the big ones.
