i think the car is 100% a ringer v5 from a cat d car stolen s3 with cat d cars plates id try and get your money back or break it for spares mate your never be able to sell it like that
You guys amaze me, DCI Expert At Everything on the job and all that. All of this "it was stolen to order" and smokes and mirrors rubbish, get a grip guys.
So what if the windscreen had been replaced and had come from a written off car? We all know how expensive they can be to buy if they aren't insured.
Do you get your car MOT'd legit? If the chassis number was wrong they would have picked up on it.
When you say the chassis number is defaced, how do you mean? Is the plastic window which offers a viewpoint through the scuttle panel obroken and all yellowy/scratched so you can't see through? (they all are)
Take a step back guys, you are all outright accusing his mate of breaking the law with nothing to go by but a very patchy and unconvincing story.
I work at a motor dealers, and if you would like me to do a full HPI and send you the details then I will. Pop me a PM with the reg plate and I will sort it out.
2 year after he sold it you ?Would you scratch the vin of a car you had sold to a mate?
vin stays put
takes some ****ing about to scratch it off unless you really need to

Would the HPI results not come back to the legit car that had its plates stolen?? He wouldnt be able to compare the VIN because he doesn't have one!
Cant see me ever buying a car from you.....
check will give him the vin and reg etc yes
but as he says when he did have the vin it didnt match
but now he aint got a vin to match it to
but the vin on the log book and V5 will match the legit carYou guys are amazing, I'm not a ******. If he gives me the VIN number he has on his MOT/log book/if there is anything on the cars I can check it to see what number plate it matches to, if he gives me the engine code and the reg number I can also find out which reg' that was originally allocated too as well...
Don't know why I bothered, the Spanish Inquisition on here were hot on my heels.

I saw his stripped car ready for pick up and it was not nice at all.
It certainly does Chris,to see his pride and joy stripped to the bone was to nice.I remember that one Jase just proves its worth the few pounds to get a Vehicle check done, I did one that was 5 checks for £30 2 of them came up with issues.
