What oil for centre diff?

Hi,

I'm having the rear flange seal changed on the back of the gearbox due to a leak but don't know what oil it uses. Is the center diff part of the auto box & shares the same fluid it does it have separate diff oil, also where to fill?

Car is a 2000 S6 Quattro.

Brilliant, just the info I needed to know. I've ordered that original seal as I didn't fancy paying £240 for the new modified seal & flange. Also ordered the correct oil now G 052 145 S2.
