First of the Mods...

Pretty chuffed, after 3 months of watching ebay like a hawk i found an 8p S3 rear diffuser for £99 buy it now...but had a quote for £106 from Audi brand new....have just now stumbled across an identical one for £40 with free postage and packaging, so that is now mine bought and paid for Just need to order the lower rear bumper for the full S3 affect, though i believe for now this should just slot in to my current 2006 S-Line rear bumper...I hope!

Will order the S3 style silver Wing Mirror covers when i get paid next Wednesday and with a little luck get it all put on Friday afternoon when i get the 3 rear windows tinted aswell.

The car as it stands is a 2006 S-Line is dark silver/black with HID Xenon bulbs and black edition grille + 18" Black edition alloys.

Just needing to decide on whether to go ahead and order the S3 side skirts aswell....

I know for the full look i should get the front bumper, but with the black edition S-Line bumper already on and looking smart, i can't stomach that expense and will just be a fail on the front end...!!! Will get some pics up next weekend hopefully

I'm pretty sure that the s3 diffuser won't fit the sline bumper. car looks nice and well done for finding the diffuser at that price!

how much is the lower rear bumper? I want to do this on my sportback

Hadn't considered the option of rear lights tbh...having just now done a quick search though i will admit the MY11's do look good.... None on ebay for now, but might keep my eyes peeled if they're not too dear!

Yes the S3 valance will fit the S-Line bumper.

Very nice colour and car. I am pretty sure it is Lava Grey! Same colour as mine, and the best colour IMHO!!
but then I would say that as I am biased! Lol.

yes thats Lava grey... it looks different depending how much light is on the car. at night it looks almost black. lovely colour

Looks great Makes me want to clean my car to bring the real colour back out rather than the road salt gradient i've got going on at them moment.

I cleaned it all up well with a coat of wax for good measure today. De-badeged the A3 and 2.0 TDI at the back.... Under the streetlights tonight it looked great when i stopped Would have preferred black tbh when i bought the car but they do look great when clean and it changes massively too, some days it looks vertually matalic black..

The back 3 windows are being tinted next week to the same levels of the current black edition.

I would consider non official sideskirts but having problems even finiding them?!

You need to be aware of part numbers for the rear bumper, 8p2 and 8p3 upper and lower parts are not interchangeable as far as I'm aware.

Upper part of 8p2 SLine and 8p2 S3 are the same, it's only the lower part (with diffuser) that is different.

The upper part you bought, is it pre 2008?

From memory, 8P4 means sportback. Not sure it will fit your 3 dr easily.

Theres a few threads on the topic of bumpers and which version fits which.

Sometimes a google search will yield better results than a search on ASN.

Only subtle mods so far....S style mirrors and Black Edition rear tint levels, quite pleased with the effects though...hopefully they are not too OTT and still relatively subtle!

not a fan of those mirrors on your car mate, doesnt really match anything else on the car as you have a dark look going on with the alloys and grill... i would have personally left it as it was.

defo need to lower that car though... just has too much arch gap

also just checked on ETKA and the 8P4 numbers are for the sportsback bumper. the 8P3 part number is for the 3 door

The ebay seller of the rear diffuser has been pretty useless so far anyway...so looks like i'll be filing for a refund as they never gave me a delivery number and when i chased them for delivery they cliamed it was posted....and then cliamed it had been returned... It was ordered 2 and a half weeks ago! So i'll tell them to keep it..

8P3 part numbers will only fit 3 doors. 8P4 part numbers are for Sportbacks AND 3 doors that share that part with the Sportback. i.e. 3dr and Sportback front bumper is 8P4, but 3dr rear bumper is 8P3.
