Woke up early this morning ready to go out and do some cruise fitting jobs, but you can guess how far I got!!

Decided to take a couple of pics and post them up.

Good luck getting out mate, I had a nightmare today. Turned ESP off today for first time and what a difference, even running falken 452's.

snow shovel / grit and an hour's hard graft and my drive is clear. unlike the rest of the road, haha.

You been on the north circ today Danny?? If so, what's it like traffic-wise?
I need to drive from east to west on it a bit later but if its gonna be too bad I might have to think of another route.

Ads, it was ok mate, quite clear and hardly any traffic. All the roads seemed ok it is only the small side streets that was a pain.
I drove from mine in Edmonton to Croydon done a cruise fitting job then back to mine in little under 3hrs! I was surprised myself.

So yeah, you'll be good on the north circ mate.

Ah nice one for the heads up mate, i'll give it a go. Gotta go to hanger lane.

Croydon and back in under 3hrs alone is usually pretty good going. Throw in a cruise install as well and that's got to be a record!

i was at work last nite during the thick of it and i must of seen
10 abandonded bmw along my travels ,there was 4 in a row on the a1
half way up a hill and some were touching the armco !

I have a question.... Does the S3 8P2 stall if you pull handbrake up in 2nd gear? tried it twice and it did but when in 1st gear seemed fine :s my old S3 8L never had a problem.

It should only stall if the engine revs drop too low, but I've noticed the power seems to be cut if you left-foot brake too, so maybe a safety thing so you don't drive against the brakes/handbrake? I used to slide my 8L around in the snow all the time, but usually just lifted off the power then gave a squirt in 2nd to get the rear moving, no need to handbrake.

My only problem is that i don't have huge car parks or open spaces. All the car parks near mear either have speed bumps (vicious ones) or have concrete curbs every where and are tiny. Need a fairly big space to just blip throttle. In a tight space, handbrake isneeded to get the sharp turn initiated. haha

Here's mine looking more like a Peugeot 407 :(

I bought the rims when I still had my GTi and only put them on when bored one weekend but glad I kept them on, its the tyres that I was making a point about, the wheels are a convenience and will be used for either winter or track events but having said that I still think one of the best looking wheels out there with the polished face etc.

Each to their own and all that :)

Hope the snow stay away from Scotland til I'm home... took a couple when I thought I'd been snowed in last winter (then just powered onto the road, with a haldex-induced 90deg slide). I'll see if I can find them and join in.
