The "Rimz" Thread ** Look here before requesting pics of specific wheels**

Those 3sdm wheels look great. Where can you buy these wheels?

More pictures are welcome

Will 225/35/19's be orite on a 9J rim? I'm not gonna slam it, just gonna lower it slightly to get a nice stance.

Very interested in your Speedlines but can't send PMs yet. Could you please send me more info to my email tuomail [AT] hotmail . com
If they're 8,5x19" ET48 I need them :)

Crap pic, I know, but just giving an idea of what should be getting fitted next week. Wasn't wanting to fit them until the snow is passed, but might just risk it.

They look really nice them mate, was thinking of doing this myself if i got speedlines. Looking forward to seeing some pics when there on

I would love to kill this thread again......N8 knows what I'm talking about!

Stay tuned for an update folks

will these fit?
18" speedlines for £675!

Pretty sure that's the specs of standard S3 wheels, so they'll fit fine. You can throw on some spacers too, if you want them to sit more flush (take the ET down to 44).

Speak to N8 about refurb, he's done plenty of Speedlines before so should be able to advise you on colour/finish etc.

As for ebay, paying through paypal is the easiest and safest way, and your ATM withdrawal limit won't matter because it goes through as either a direct transfer, or as a puchase (I paid for my whole car with my Maestro). Not sure of the limits before you "verify" your account, but it only takes a day or two to sort that too.

there's a set of 19'' bbs speedlines on edition for 700 iirc .18s are not worth 700 lol

But the price 675 includes 4 tyres with plenty of tread left on them? not worth it?.. i just think 19's are too big.. but how much should i pay for 18" speedlines?

Dry fitted the Speedlines today (no tyres, APR discs in place and R8 calipers just tied in place on the disc). They clear the calipers comfortably with 10mm spacers - so down at ET38 - and if a 9" wheel fits at ET41, then surely they'll fit under the arch at 8.5 and ET38? No tyres on, and car up on a lift so no tuck from the lowering, but they look like they stick out quite a bit. Could maybe get away with thinner spacers, maybe down to 8mm... any thoughts? Don't want to go down to 215 wide tyres, want to stick with 225/35s.

8.5" rim at ET38 will stick the rim out by about 6 or 7 mm. A 215 would be safer at that ofset I reckon. Borderline on rubbing/ looking wrong.

9" et41 fits inside the front arch ok. It isn't a super tuck but it should be fine. This is with a 215 tyre however.

8.5" et38 is the same as 9" et44 (more or less). ie. is 3mm further in than the 9" et41.

Gotta say n8 I'm really not feeling the slammed look with those alloys, maybe if you took a shot at Normal ride height it would be more appealing to me...
They are nice alloys, and those tyres look scary!

That wheel is/was already feeling over-done, a bit "played out" (it optional on pretty much any Audi), then N8 rolls up and throws the twinkies on... nailed it, "TIS". Not 100% on the colour combo against the Akoya though.

Them wheels would look sooo much sweeter if they had a deeper concave.

Wow, never thought those wheels could look so good! Any pics of ride height? Or can you even drive with those
