Alloy Wheels - Will They Fit?

Hi

I have seen some alloys on eBay I like I believe they are genuine RS6 alloys from an a4. They have 235/40ZR18 tyres, 18x8JJ fitiment, ET35 and I think they will be 5x112 pcd correct me if I'm wrong

So will they fit a 2005 a3? Will they rub? Will I need spacers?

I ran oem rs6 alloys on my a3 sportback and had a bit of rub on the rear. There is a screw head in both arches causing most of the rubbing so just take them out and you wont notice it unless you have a full car. They should just bolt straight on. Im now running rs4 245/40/18's on my 2007 a3 and they bolted straight on, still get a bit of rub on the rear inner arches though.

The offset and tyre size of those wheels aren't ideal for an a3. ET35 means that the wheels are going to be poking from the arches quite a lot, particularly at the front. With 235/40 tyres you may risk damaging your wheel arches if you hit a speed bump hard. Some of the guys on here run ET35 wheels but generally with stretched 35 profile tyres

You could change the tyres for 215/40 or something but to be honest genuine rs6s come up on ebay quite regularly and you'd be better holding out for the right set.

Offsets around 45 - 54 are more useable

Cant remember to be honest. Et35 sounds familiar. Surely all oem rs6 18" offsets are the same? My current 245's are et50 and sits nicely in the arches. I cant remember the rs6 wheels poking out of the arches, i think they were perfectly flush with the arch.

Ah thought so after looking at them for a while i just cant seem to find any gens with decent tyres on how much should i be paying for them roughly?

Out of all of the OEM alloys I would say that the price of the RS6s vary by the most.

I've seen them go for anything for £250 to £450, and condition doesn't always dictate the price. As with most things, usually they go for more when there aren't many for sale.

As a guide... I bought mine about a year ago for just over £300 with good tyres. They were A3 ones though which usually sell for a bit more than the A4 ones.

If you really want a set then be prepared to pay up to £400 I would say. But if you're patient you might win a set for £300 (maybe a bit less) with tyres.

Just remember that if you do go for A4 RS6s then check the tyre sizes because there's a good chance that the size will be wrong for your car so you will need to shell out for four new/part worn tyres.

Just type in the search box at the top of the page.


Nah, go to this link for Car wheels and tyres (Car Wheels, Tyres Trims | eBay) and seach for "A3 alloys". That'll bring up about 500,000,000 results though.
Or search for "s-line" or "rs6" in the same category. That should bring up less results.

Really you've just got to try all sorts of search terms because sellers aren't always specific or correct with their listing titles.
