BATTLEFIELD 3

I really can't wait for this, the PC graphics look epic in the promo vids (although it was probably running on a Core i7 Extreme Edition with dual GTX580's).

How do the helicopters compare to BF2, out of interest? I loved them in BF Vietnam, but in BF2 I thought it was way too easy to get shot down. The minute you took off the ****** missile alarm would just start bleating away continuously until you got blown out of the sky!

The BC2 helis are a pain in the *** if you ask me. I never played BF2 so cant compare but all the people at the top of the BC2 leader boards are choppa whores who just play the same map over and over again.

I hope they make it easier to bring down choppas/jets on BF3 compared with BC2.

I haven't played BC2 so can't comment on that one, but it just needs to be balanced fairly, IMO. In BF2 they were way too easy to take down, and in BFV they probably had it a bit too easy, to be fair.

I agree the choppers shouldn't be too hard to kill, but conversely if it's impossible to stay airborne for more than 6 seconds they might as well not be in the game! There must be a happy medium somewhere :)

Yeah correct.

In BC2 the choppa whores just fly in circles and destroy all the anti air guns as soon as they spawn. It's difficult enough to hit the choppa with a tracer dart to be able to hit it with a rocket. Most of the whores are equipped with the smoke perc which means they can loose a tracer dart as soon as it hits them! It's a joke.
 
im picking this up in 2 hours time at game. cant wait now to get into it big time
 
Anyone on PS3 want to team up? Got my copy this morning. If you're a noob to Battlefield the same as me and fancy teaming up my PSN name is tbodsworth.

The pc version is having massive server problems..
 
was having massive problems last night with the servers. today has been better though and had some awesome rush matches. loving the damarind valley map(i think thats what its called) the one where you have to jump off the dam and free fall which is awesome

i wouldnt say it was like COD dude, but after all they all do the same thing dont they. its still a bit glitchy right now which does my nut in but it will iron out soon and then we can fully appreciate it. im looking forward to seeing how COD shapes up this year also

Yeah, it's not quite been as instant a hit with me as BC2 was either. It is growing on me though and difficulty of the online makes me want to play more (just don't get the time). It's still 1,000,000x better than MW3. PSN name realmowat
 
well first off id like to say BF3 is fooking amazing, i cannot stop playing for the life of me and the mrs lol, i swear on sunday i played it from 10am to 5.30pm straight through no stopping. my favourite maps are operation metro, seine crossing, grand bazzar, tehran highway well pretty much all of them. i play rush non stop, once i unlock all guns and everything else i shall start playing conquest and the other modes but rush is like porn to me.....im hooked just like i was in BC2.

campaign was really good i though if a bit short for my liking but its cool as these games are made for online. im waiting for MW3 on xmas as the mrs got it for me so be good to compare the 2 games but it has a great feat to beat BF3 in sound, sight and feel.
 
I can't stop raging. Every time I play the map with the tunnel I get destroyed! I only play conquest as I can't stand rush but I've been close to putting the BC2 cd back in my PS3 already.

thats what i like to see dude, a real player lol there some right noobs on there sometimes so its hard to get some good team play. i shall be putting in some hours soon, once i have all my guns and unlocked everything i can then play different modes like conquest

Just got myself a projector and screen in my new extension. Loving it.
It's in the home cinema/gadgets section.
Life size characters - awesome.

Score /min has gone up even more now rocking 650, pushing for 700 :D
 
****** game has left me in a foul mood today. Been off work today (sick, not on strike) and it was a joy to play during the day. No lag, no hit detection issues. As soon as it hits about 4pm all the servers must get busy and it goes tits up!

I've been trying to get all the ribbons so I can get the "decorated" trophy and got to rank 18 today. Just want to platinum the game and put it to bed before It gives me any more grey hairs!
 
i havent been gettin on with it lately either. i like to do all kits then stick to assault so im half way through doing the support kit and when im blasting away at them im not hitting them and it drives me mental cuz they are right there in front of me and as for long shots you can forget it when in support class. ill stick to my M416 and M320 thanks. engineer class was wicked but support is fooking shizz
 
It feels like a chore to me now to even start playing this game whereas I couldn't wait to get home and play BC2! I'm starting to find other things to do just so I dont have to turn on my PS3 haha
 
i iant played it for over a week now, likie you said BC2 i couldnt wait to play. all the hype about it and then its a shame im not enjoying it as much
