Anyone done this mod on the 8L? if so what do i need ,or is it a straight forward mod via vcds ?
also how do i enable windows via remote?

Not always. Sometimes it's enabled but it depends on the dealer the car was sold from.

Cheers Paul, that looks a fair bit of work lol. I was thinking that it might be possible to take a feed from somewhere else just to turn on the side lights. Possibly like I have done for my footwell lights that come on with unlock and when the big light switch is turned on.

Yeh I don’t really want the choke to keep it oem as possible. Yours work ok?

Yeh I like the look of that one he has that fits behind the dash. Think I’ll order one of them and then see if I can remove the pin for the headlights so just the sidelights come on rather than the dipped beam.

Is this kit plug and play in the S3 8L?

If I leave it on auto the lights go off when I lock the car and come on automatically as required?

I leave mine on AUTO now

in the dusk the parkers come on

when it's darker the low beams and foggies come on

when i lock the car - the headlighs/tail lights stay on for whatever time you set it to

turn off by themselves

they work brilliantly !

nah i didn't but it basically entails swapping the knob from the aftermarket unit onto the OEM housing.

you gotta force it off and it feels like it's going to break - but it gives in the end.

the rest is self explanatory when you go to put it all together

Fitted the kit but on mine all the lights seem to be coming on straight away except drivers inside main beam.

Is there any way of configuring what comes on when?

The light sensor is configurable. You need to set it so it’s in learning mode.

Shine a bright as LED right onto the sensor to Change it’s setting.

I don’t mine comes on “staged”.

Park lights when ambient lights are low.

Everything when it’s dark.
