F1 Season 2011

Really? Thats funny as i seem to recall you calling his a "Spanish ****". Funny how people switch sides dont you think?

Yeah definatly sour grapes m8.

Yep really, some of us aren't as short minded as others, I just gave you a reason i felt for the poor chap..... this isn't school kidda, I haven't changed my mind about Alonso, Hamilton is still a better driver, proven!!

Reptor I am astonished that you are as old as you are, really......you argue like a child...yeah maybe I play up to you but your not particularly challenging at all all things considered

PS keep the pics coming, they brighten up my thread no end.

Martin Whitmarsh says that McLaren had the fastest car in the Italian Grand Prix .

Fastest lap on Sunday was Hamilton, 2nd fastest was Button, so Whitmarsh was right they did have the fastest car at the Italian GP, depends on which way you look at it.

depends how closed minded you are and what facts you choose to let into your life chops ;)

Fastest laps dont mean anything tho lets be honest. I remember when kimi, massa and other drivers whould bang in there fastest lap on the last lap to prove they could. Even tho they finished like 8th or so. From the FIA race results shows almost a 10 second gap between P1 and P2 and there was no back markers inbetween Vetel and Button so if Mclaren was the fastest car then they would have won.

Love how the press are saying Button is 100% a better driver than Shamilton. Dont ya just love it 1animal1 :rockwoot:

Ah but Button wasnt always in P2 was he? I'd agree its not the best statement to come out with, and its pointless to discuss ifs and buts as the race has been and gone. Roll on the next race hopefully will see some more great racing and a fight for 1st rather than the seb just leading from start to finish. Do you think the fezza will be any more competative for the last part of the season or will they look to work towards next years car now? They lack the pace of the rb and macca's and Alonso has been there saving grace this year (i hate the guy but you cant deny his driving talant) I think they need to replace Massa with some young blood next year, it was good to see them keep him on after the accident but he's not returned to form and will always have to be driver no2 with Alonso in the team. I think Williams should replace Rubens with Massa, Im looking forward to seeing them running Renault engines again, and hopefully return to fighting for the top spot.

Your comment above read 'Martin Whitmarsh says that McLaren had the fastest car in the Italian Grand Prix .'

So whats the definition of a faster car in your world :)

Which press say Button's 100% better? :)

I agree, Massa does need replacing, I know Alonso is a better driver then Massa by quite a bit but a better driver there would help push ferrari forward, should be given to Hulkenburg, he needs a seat back in F1, great young tallent there as was proven last year.

hulkenburg?? from what i have seen of him over the past few years he is not worthy of a drive at ferrari. webber would be better at ferrari i would say

Sergio Perez is testing for them: From the bbc website Sauber driver Sergio Perez will test for Ferrari at the team's Fiorano track on Thursday. The Mexican will be driving a 2009 F60 car as part of his training under Ferrari's young driver programme.

Well you might not have to wait much longer from what im hearing.. The rumour is that Kimi Raikonen is thinking of returning to williams.. Here have a look, you will have to click translate tho..lol

I'd like to see kimi return to F1, especially if he's in a good car, which I hope the williams will be.

"Lewis Hamilton believes the most successful drivers in Formula One have always been those that are willing to take risks.
Hamilton has been involved in a number of incidents this season, from two collisions at Monaco to a clash with his own team-mate in Canada. He has received four drive-through penalties (or the equivalent post-race penalty) and two reprimands for his driving, and his track record has attracted criticism from some quarters of the press.
"I think just generally in motor racing there is a fine line between being very dangerous and putting other people's lives at risk and then being just beneath the danger zone," he told Reuters. "And that's kind of where you just try never to go over the line. But this is motor racing and we are racing wheel-to-wheel at 200 mph so it's going to happen"

Errr no not really ramilton. Funny how Vettel and alonso doesnt crash out every race and summon to the stewards ever race like your self. Thats because they are double (vettel will be) world champions and have skill in there driving and know when to keep there heads.

2 more days till practice session 1 to the start of the race weekend. Im predicting a vettel win and a ramilton crash as always.
Here is a reminder of his last trip out to singapore..

Check out 1.00min in..Throw that steering wheel out child.

i love how closed minded you are :)

Nothing to do with the fact that Hsmilton hasn't had the best car on the track for most of the season, Vettel has won purely out of skill :)

Seriously, he beat the crap out of Alonso in the same car even with Alonso's perfect driving ability.......you have NO argument :)

Ok dude haha..... Sooooo glad you aren't a challenge, you remind me of a story on bbc news about wild parrots in oz talking ****e, after being ejected by owners

Now stop clogging my thread up fool

WOW i can see the resemblance now..Yup Animal indeed. Altho what do you call a male hen again?..oh yeah thats right.

It might be funny if we understood where you got the call centre idea from.....i truly am baffled :)

It's almost like your in your own 'willy wonka' world where you dream up F1 results, slate all that is actual and attempt to demean people. I truly feel for those that have to live with you - you, sat day in day out telling them how you won a Ferrari mechics tshirt with rice crispy tokens - How you would love to one day leave your village (once another idiot takes over) - and how your ironed Ferrari socks are only worn on 'odd' days of the week as it interupts the karma on race day.

You really are a special sort - Reptor, I salute you and all the people who help you with your day to day living - may the benefits system continue to pay for your internet so you can continue to post here.

OMG almost got a boner at this pic of the car :D

In other news....

Button blames McLaren mistakes.
Jenson Button says McLaren has made too many mistakes this season, resulting in missed opportunities to win grands prix.

Way to go to get a new contract Jenson Mutton..:moa:

I have to agree with this part tho.....

"With Sebastian Vettel on the brink of the world championship, Button dismissed the notion that fans would become disinterested if he secured the title this weekend with five races still to go"

Fans tune in to see how many laps before Ramilton makes a tool out of himself. :p

Well its looking ever true that Kimi will be back in F1 next year. That i would love to see. Awsome Driver :)

Barrichello untroubled by speculation linking Kimi Raikkonen to his Williams seat - F1 news - AUTOSPORT.com

It is understood that Raikkonen visited the Williams factory ahead of the Italian Grand Prix for talks with the team, as the former world champion eyes a return to racing in 2012.
Although sources suggest that Williams is chasing a sponsor-backed driver to be team-mate to Pastor Maldonado in 2012, a tie-up with Raikkonen could also be financially attractive because it could lure fresh backers.
Williams has so far declined to comment on the Raikkonen situation, and confirmed only that the Finn paid a 'private' visit to the factory recently for unspecified reasons.

No real suprise the usual Ramilton fans on here have no words. Once again ramilton true to his nick name the crash kid made a complete tool of himself.

A furious Felipe Massa strongly criticised Lewis Hamilton's driving after they clashed in the Singapore Grand Prix. Yesterday Massa had slammed Hamilton following a near-miss in Q3, and today they made contact immediately after the first pitstops, with the Ferrari given a puncture when the McLaren clipped it during an abortive passing move.
Hamilton had to pit for a replacement wing and was given a drive-through penalty for the incident. While he recovered to fifth, Massa could only get back to ninth.
"My thoughts are that, again, I told you yesterday that he cannot use his mind," said Massa.
"Even in qualifying, so you can imagine in the race. He could have caused a big accident. He is paying for that, that's the problem. He doesn't understand, even paying for a problem.

Well done to Vetel, drove a stella drive and once again Nando beat Ramilton :D

Watch Massa Slap Ramitlon in the back and say "well done"...Lewis doesnt no were to look..priceless.

errrrm yeah thats why we didnt post....nothing to do with it being a boring race :)

glad you found the time to post your one sided views though, quoting the man whos more ****** off with Hamilton than anyone - seriously if you were any brighter you'd be in comprehensive school.

"Hamilton was at the centre of controversy in Singapore after a collision with Felipe Massa earned him a drive through penalty and ruined Massa's race. In the TV pen after the grand prix Massa sarcastically congratulated Hamilton and slapped him on the back during an interview, which caused Hamilton to leave the circuit without speaking to any more media. Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa in raging row | The Sun |Sport|Motorsport

its like hes in his own dream world Westy.... you kind of get the impression he's in a home for the mentally impaired - don't you think?

was not the best race to watch and i wasnt expecting it to be either. probably one of the worst tracks to race on imo. how many times have we seen drivers take a front wing off due to not being aware of the distance from theirs and others cars. hamilton let massa take the corner and unfortunately both drivers were worse off for it. massa has the right to be ****** off for it but do you think they are using the excuse that hamilton has been aggressive this year and thats all they can say he is when he does something in the race. i wonder if massa would have said those things if vettel took his wing off and gave him a puncture. i feel that anything that lewis does which is not perfect is put down to him not being focused in the mind and being too aggressive and not the fact that it is called racing!!! they may aswel put the cars on scaletric rails and let them go round and round and round and then let vettel win.

by the way, has anyone said anythign about scumey and his accident? was he too aggressive and not focused in the mind??

Twigs, its actually annoying me too how stupid it all is....... one rule for one etc, you can see him lock up, if he didnt turn in he'd have compromised himself and probably have ended in the run off area...

What happend to Webber all season, I don't buy into the talk about Vettel being sooo much better - sure he's a worthy winner but theres several drivers out there who would have done the same or better in the red bull given the chance....

I'd like to see De resta and Kobyashi in decent cars, they both come across as racers wanting to move ahead - catch them quick before they bed into this robot mentality.

I just wanted to add to Lewis Hamiltons RIP words for Christian Bakkarud.
I had the pleasure of working with Christian through 2010 at Shipco Transport.
A real genuine nice guy who had plenty of stories of his days from racing. As a racing nut I was at his desk 9am on the Monday asking for his views on the weekens racing! We even sponsored his last Audi Le Mans car in 2010.
...He also drove a lava grey A3 8p like mine albeit a 5 door. (Given to him by Audi!)
I know he died driving a RS6 but I dont believe it was his..
Anyway, il miss him.

It was the lightest of touches, if Massa hadn't got the puncture and thus disadvantaged so much Hamilton wouldn't have got a drive through.

Hamilton is a trier when it comes to overtaking, sometimes it works & sometimes it doesn't just like Schumacher & Senna did in their times too.

If in your mind you have decided you dont like a driver your going to dissagree with everything they do in a 50/50 decision on the track.

The big question as always would be how would they all stack up in the same car LOL

this is genuine now, i think if all drivers were in the exact equal cars i.e all had vettels red bull i would put my money on it hamilton beating all the rest with button coming second.

the two maclaren boys are top draw, i didnt think button would cut it at maclaren but he really has stepped upto the plate this year. if the shoe was on the other foot and the maclarens had the pace of the red bulls and the red bulls had the pace of maclaren the championship would be lewis and button on top. and i would bet alot of money on that one

and once again Nando beat Ramilton :D

you say that like nando beat him fair and square mate, even after lewis had 3 pit stops(one being for the new wing which is a long stop) and a drive through penalty he came 5th 12.5 seconds behind nando in 4th. i dont really see that as a victory for nando mate lol

YEAH REAL MATURE RAMILTON... Wonder how long it will be before his Simon Fuller's XIX Entertainment and martin skeletor whitmarsh tells ramilton to say sorry. Then suddenly ramilton will send a Tweet...What a numpty boy..

Here is a reminder of his fruitfull year so far for you fanboys.

Really! lol

Crap race, with a great result for RB. Vettel was in a different league

I'd back that, Hamilton is one of the best drivers out there, be interesting to see him and Vettel in the same team - my money wouldnt be on Vettel getting pole week in week out...... Not taking anything away from him, Vettel is a worthy champion but he hasn't proven a massive amount, their car is far superior to the rest of the field - this has been proven many times. God knows what has happened to Webber but im sure the difference between the two isnt merely down to driver skill all of a sudden - thats one hell of a transition to make - the conspiracy theorist in me is working overtime!

I'll ignore the Hamilton bashing video Reptor, your becoming even more boring than usual - i'll keep it short just so we don't confuse your tiny little mind (this isn't me being personal it's stating a fact based on all of your posts, call it a diagnosis)

'What ever Hamiltons downfalls, he BEAT Alonso in his first season' haha - go chew boy :)

yes mate, vettel is nothing special at all mate. when you have a clear track in front of you and the best car on the grid then i dont think there is much competition when it comes to race day. put vettel in the the ferrari and nando in his then if he gets pole and wins a race in a lesser car than a rival then ill call him something special, but for now ill hold off my judgement of him being an unbeatable driver

"true dat" lol glad to see people see things the way i do too

i never said he was unbeatable, but, he is certainly one of the best out there.

The fact he is in the best car just helps him shine.

thats massaging the facts - the fact he is in the best car and he has never massively excelled his team mates in previous seasons suggests it isnt all him - any of these drivers are top of their profession, most would be able to make a championship out of a far superior car if they had nobody to overtake all season..... he is good but he isn't anything spectacular - or should I say he hasn't had chance to prove he is yet

Of course, this is what we are witnessing first hand at this moment in time Tim, history will just look at results, and when Vettel hits 3/4/5/6/7 F1 titles, he will just become a legend like all the past great F1 drivers irrespective of wether he had the best car or not!

you have a point mate yes, and he is one of the best out there no doubt. but i really dont think he deserves what he is getting right now(as in all the praise). when have we seen seb battle against a car that just doesnt want to go fast? when have we seen seb under real pressure and haveing a proper race against someone? unless i see him battling a good driver going toe to toe and winning then he is not great to me. look at what happened with webber and him at silverstone, mark was catching him big time and mark was going to take him until horner told him not too. and with button in montreal, seb was clearly nervous about jenson which pushed him into a mistake.

all im saying is that vettel is a good driver with an unbeatable car. when seb one day has a not got the best car then we will see what he is made of, somehow i dont think he would cut it. we have all seen him when he is not happy and focused(nurburgring)

[h=1]Jenson Button commits to McLaren with 'multi-year' deal[/h]
Jenson Button has committed his future to McLaren by signing what the team say is a "multi-year contract".
The Englishman's contract was due to expire at the end of next year but the two parties had been discussing a new long-term deal.

Button, 31, said: "I've never felt more at home at a team than I do at McLaren.

"I truly believe that the passion and determination to win are stronger here at McLaren than anywhere else," he said.
"As a grand prix driver, those are incredibly powerful feelings to share and be part of, and they've only reinforced my desire to commit my long-term future to this team.
"I've made no secret of my ambition to continue winning races and world championships, and I fully believe this is the place where I can achieve those aims."
