An argument i didn't know I had as I haven't even felt hitting a kerb with that wheel  Got someone who will sort it though so hopefully that will be done soon :)

haha fair enough i ahet it when that happens , but nothing worse than dark coloured wheels with kerb maks not a goo look at all hope you get it sorted a.s.a.p bud

I've got the same unfortunately, only mine looks allot worse! Had a fight with the kerb in St. David's 2 so its yellow paint has left the mark

Powergate is the most versatile device ever created for serial programming via diagnostic plug. By using all the newer protocols of communication (K-LINE, CAN and J1850), Powergate can read and write the Electronic Control Unit of many vehicles on the market. Powergate has an internal memory which can contain, in addition to the original file, two different maps. In this way, the owner of the vehicle has always at his disposal two different developing steps of the map, to be uploaded on the ECU at any moment. Updating protocols of communication has never been so easy a connection to the internet and a few minutes are all it is required to gain the access to Alientech Data Bank for downloading everything is needed to make Powergate operative on the largest number of vehicles as possible. This solution was studied for different operating situations, as it is suitable both to professional tuners who want to propose a product always up-to-date, than to users who make use of Powergate solely on their own cars. A very versatile device with first-class features. The display of items on its large screen is very simple. The device itself will guide you through the reading and writing of the ECU, with clear and detailed instructions. Another interesting innovation of Powergate is the option to quickly and easily check and erase DTC Errors (Diagnostic Trouble Code)

What Voorhees said basically! :)

Got a mild and a strong map to play with. Haven't done much playing yet as the car has been in having the wheels restored to their former glory. Playtime is scheduled for tomorrow morning. The limited driving I've managed to do has been very good indeed :)

You, that and a laptop = endless tweaking and logging!! Fairplay mate...

No endless tweaking needed lol. Was encountering a slight issue with the mild map where it would cut back the boost under full load in 4th, 5th and 6th gear at 3000rpm. Thankfully the strong map shows no signs of this :racer: It is quite simple fricking epic!!! :)

Those with a 170 TDI, give CARBON CHIP TUNING a call. Absolutely top bunch of lads who love their cars just as much as we do

mine next please rhys mate need to have a proper scan with vcds badly to see what the F is going on with my car

It does look nice in the dash I must admit... MMI is good too. Your lucky as you got bluetooth so a good basis to add it too!

I quite like that. Maybe wrap the number plate holder to?

On my own whilst the missus is out shopping so grabbed the laptop and started going through some things on VAGCOM just cos I can

I think VAGCOM has been updated recently as I could never find the option to code fog lights as DRL's, but it has and the result is this

Looking good mate, I think the plate holder needs to get wrapped to, to finish it off!

I need to have a good look at vag com just to see what I can do!

Cheers! That's a job for Monday :)

A lot of the stuff depends on what year your car is; I'm lucky in that being a 57 plate it seems to have been fitted with a higher end version of the Central Electrics module meaning I can enable the extended menus in the DIS and enable fogs etc etc

haha i wont dont worry im only after a few things like coming home/leaving home lights / turn the door puddle lights and door edges on stuff like that but if you can do stuff like you have done then happy days if not then i wont get upset lol

You done the wiring for the coming home / leaving lights?? Mine was just a software change, didn't need the wiring. You retro-fitted the puddle lights too? If so I can turn them on oo eer

soldered all the wiring for the puddle lights/door edge lights just need to turn on the function and install the wiring , not dont anything for the ch lights as of yet prob need a repair wire for the earth but if you can turn em on the it gives me a kick up the rear to get it sorted quicker lol
