Why is the MAF for your car so expensive Nick? I thought they was all £80 exchange from VAG??
Anyways, I don't buy into the 'buy it from dealer only', I got just the sensor part for my Passat TDI from my local motor factors for £56 allin, still good after 60k miles.
They're all £80 exchange from GSF or ECP Jojo, like they are from audi for later cars.
Problem is, there arn't that many AGU's still knocking about needing MAF's, so audi have stopped doing the MAF's on exchange
and it's outright sale special order only! £231 from TPS (who supply audi)
Latest update folks:
Put in new MAF number 4 this evening, and it's the same as MAF's 1 and 2 from GSF, SLIGHTLY more boost than my original one, but only 1-2psi at most.
MAF 3 was clearly fecked, as it caused horrific overboost, lean backfire, and had G/s readings that were about 60% of what they should be.
MAF's 1, 2, and 4 have all done the exact same thing, I'm getting 1-2 psi more than my current maf, and the same 187g/s peak figures.
4k figures (random point once it's fully on boost) are around 140g/s again, just like my old maf.
I don't get it folks, 4 mafs and it's not right still, yet with Plunkys maf plugged in it felt exactly like the day it was mapped.
I think I need to try and get Liam on side again for another test, and make sure it wasn't coincidence.
Getting SERIOUSLY fed up now.
Roll on a bigger turbo, if funds will ever allow.....
