Split rim refurb

Hi all I currently have 18" speedline split rims and due to corrosion they need a refurb, I would like the centres in anthracite and polished rims, however I am struggling to find a company in the Midlands who are willing to break the wheels down they all say "we don't take splits apart" can the refurb be done satisfactory without splitting them?

Yes they can. but its best to split them .have a look at your wheels and are all the bolts branded BBS SV ?Where are you based?

Yes Steve the bolts are all branded BBS SV, im in Dudley in the midlands.

Then you can strip them pretty easy .Then you can get the face painted or powder coated
And the barrel lips polished or diamond cut .I just refinished a set myself .Its pretty easy but time consuming .i will pm you what i did

Go to Rainbow Polishing mate, 10 minutes away from you!

Split them and get Rainbow to polish the dishes! Excellent value for money.

Customer service isnt the best, the guys abit old skool!

Just get an 8mm spline tool and strip them like i said in the pm mate ..save a load of cash and then get them done seperately ..

I'll be doing this next week. Cheers for the pm aswell Steve really helpful. I'm just gonna take my time not working so alot more time on my hands. I'll take the rim to get polished though. I'd probably mess up lol

Take them to prestige wheel centre in erdington they will do them as they do lots of splits

Thanks all for the advise at least now I have a few options to consider.
