hi guys just a up date to things i done today at amd and what the results were so
miltek turbo bk res
apr fuel pump
pro alloy intercooler
amd remap stage 2 +

already got intake evoms on the car

so results
best of the day was
344bhp
366 lb torqe
was really hot day and car was hot
so could easily be 10 bhp more on the road with fresh air!

Wow - nice day out to get all of that done in one shout! Hope you are enjoying it.

(I wont add that I got 377bhp on stage 2 without fuel pump or FMIC on their RR....... :lmfao:)

****** hell that's some awesome power. Wish I didn't commute to work otherwise I'd definitely be doing the same. Dirty diesel just much more cost effective for me :(

haha thats what i was thinking, and hate to say i got 345bhp on my stage one with a misfire...

what you will find is the evoms can get really hot in traffic, so if you want to help your intake temps a bit more, which will make your fmic work even better get it wrapped in reflect-a-gold £40 will do the whole intake and will help massively with heat soak, ill be doing mine this summer as i cant afford a fmic yet haha

ive got 330bhp with just stage one and a forge twintake!

Or swap it for a twintake!:tapedshut::whistle2::arco: haha...how u doin jungleman?

its all a bit of a mystery... i managed 328bhp just stage 1... im now stage 2+ and 355bhp... yet the 27Bhp increase feels more like 100Bhp... Figures dont mean to much if you ask me...

haha na i like my evoms & the noise it makes, plus bet the twintake get a fair bit of heatsoak as well lol

yea im good make, just being busy with uni work at the mo which sucks, in a couple weeks ill be back do to evolve to take the car to stg 2! cant wait!!

very true, and as well stg 2+ is all about mid rage punch and hes producing good levels of torque!

yep 366 lb/ft is same figure as me basically... Scary compared to stage 1. It also = CLUTCH DEAD IN 5 MINUTES like mine...

yea thats a good 30 over me, so will be interesting to see what mine produces when i go stg 2 in a couple weeks
yea the oem clutch cant cope with that level of torque, btw rye, the group buy on vagoc has now reached 10 so the price of the clutch has dropped to the lowest level :)

Stage 2 sounds good man.....I'll be there soon hopefully. Month or two. Looking forward to a review on stg 2 mate.:superman:

My Torque seems quite high for stg 1?? this was also b4 i changed all coil pack and plugs and fitted the twintake....

yea am quite looking forward to it as have had stage 1 for 8 months now so feeling a bit of a tweak is due now that ive done some work to the suspension & brakes, next will be some decent coilovers & arbs before any more power gets added

yea ill get a bit of a report up when i get the work done, hopefully i should be feeling some significant improvement in mid range grunt, may treat the car to some new plugs, coils & maf as well so i get some decent suck, squeeze, bang, blow going on haha

Glad you enjoyed your trip and hope you're pleased with the results.

It will adapt for a bit after all this work so you may find a little more after a few runs .

The RR lottery always plays a part but in everyday use it's the torque gains that you really notice... Have fun

thats a load up on yours, on the DD rollers mine was about 320 on both from what i remember

got to love that comical drop in torque in the oem map between 3100-3500 rpm! dont remember mine doing that to be fair, im gonna dig my graph out now and have a look

edit:- just had a look, that spike and drop in your oem torque curve is really odd, my oem one was much smoother then that, very strange mate!

thats what i thought...all ok now tho!! 2 coil packs were dodgy b 4 i changed them so that could have contributed to the drop? my air filter was VERY, and i mean very dirty and clogged b4 the twintake...also spk plugs were well battered looking also - well worth it changing the coils n plugs man - much smoother after...

who knows, RR lottery:blink:

yea could have been a misfire of some kind, who knows. yea am sure, and with the extra levels of boost & fuelling that stg 2 will be running need to have everything running properly!

yea it really is, be interesting to see what the DD reads compared to AMD's tho i feel it will be less, from what ive read DD's tend to read a bit lower then RR's

RR's pinch of salt IMHO, but todays heat wont have helped, need to stick it in a cooler to see its potential, compress that air in :)

well it is only 344bhp but touqe is 366 which is quite and a amd remap is not the same as a revo revo wld of got me 360 to 380 bhp as it is more agresseve map but im happy for now with what i got BUT MUST BE HONEST I WAS ABIT DISSAPOINTED AS WAS EXPECTING 370BHP ANYWAY when i get a new uprated clutch i will be going back and get them to get the 370bhp mark hopefully or might just wait till i do a turbo and brake conversion which sld be fun! and the top man you all discribe there was on holiday so that could also have somthing to do with it!

to be honest, its not all about figures, its how about the car drives and feels, and with an increase in the torque of that it should be pulling like a train in the mid range, which is what you want!
now the expensive things of clutch, suspension & brakes to sort!

s3 alex can you tell me how much the turbo converison is fitted?

yea will do clutch soon but no slipping as of yet! will do brakes same time so then just the turbo conversion as i said before i want 450bhp mark then ill be:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

The difference between 344 and 360-370 bhp is all at the very top end,and frankly won 't make a lot of difference to your everyday driving, whereas nearly 370lbs of torque will make a huge difference in mid range acceleration.

The car will adapt a bit as I've said earlier, but don't get too concerned about small differences, plus a Revo map may raise that figure a bit....what made you decide not to have Revo's map put on?

s3 alex can you tell me how much the turbo converison is fitted?

The ATP kit will come in at about £3500 or thereabouts, but you will need to add in fitting, some fabrication(i.e.downpipe and induction piping to turbo inlet)and other bits like Zircotek to add some heat shielding in critical areas.

AMD know all about this,as we fitted all of this to mine.....allow at least £5-6k and you should be in budget with some spare.

The OEM clutch simply won't take this, and to be honest, yours is already living on borrowed time, and you will need to get the suspension and brakes done first.

Allow £1k for clutch and flywheel inc fitting, another £1200 for the suspension, and around £1700 for the brakes....dont' forget uprated engine mounts.....THS or VWRacing.

If you don't get these done before the turbo, you'll have an evil handling thing to contend with.

yea will do clutch soon but no slipping as of yet! will do brakes same time so then just the turbo conversion as i said before i want 450bhp mark then ill be:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

AMD also know this, but it's not a good idea to go much beyond 450lbs of torque on stock internals, but they do seem safe up to that....

Above that you need new rods, pistons and bolts, and possibly a top end rebuild, but at least the bottom end needs doing....thats on my to-do list, but the intercooler and mounts are next.

a friend of mine knows some guys whos been using amd for years that why i went to amd and there only 20 miles away as i said im happy with what i got i will be doing clutch as soon as my car crys for one also looking around for a nice brake conversion that will handle the turbo conversion i will do also couldnt i just get front and rear anti roll bars and kw shocks? as i already got h&r springs or do i need somthing more?

if you want some decent brakes then get the VW Racing kit, its not cheap but its absolute quality and well worth the money!

the problem with getting just shocks is you MUST make sure they are matched to the spring rate or youll be in just a bad state as you are now!

to be honest, no idea, would be a good idea to call someone like damian at dpm performance as he will know all the best options, but it will prob be a h&r shock of some description

Hi there...assuming I've read your post correctly....

Personally I would have chosen the Revo remap...and it was the one I took.

Your clutch is living on borrowed time,so I would use it until it begins to go,and then either the Sachs or the Southbend.....bear in mind the Southbend takes a single mass flywheel and will be a bit harsh from the NVH angle.

Suspension...most of us have either kW or Bilstein.

The Clubsport allows more comprehensive setup, but is really track oriented and will cost about £1700.
KW Clubsport Suspension.

The v3 is what many of us have(myself included)
KW Suspension

Mixing and matching shocks and springs is something you'd need advice on unless you know the rates of each.

Brakes....

Good solid kit,as approved by an LMP1 racer on VAGOC and myself.

- S3 - Front 6 Piston Kit CP5575M1011 - 2006 on

Excellent kit,as I do have prior experience of AP,but costly and not so easy to lay your hands on.

High Performance Brake Kits Knowledge Base - Alcon Components

Another I can vouch for,but the thick end of £2k prior to fitting

Parts, Accessories, Styling and Performance Tuning for your Audi TT Coupe or TT Roadster

Worth a look at...the TT-RS kit is basically a Brembo setup.

None of those will leave you with any change from £1700.
