Goodwood Green S3 in Sheffield South

i think this could be a minimeet starting here, saw Paul in passing yesterday....S3s3 do you know of Paul S3 just down the road from us, noggy blue 8L hybrid? think that was the test car for JBS's first KO4 hybrid venture
 
Why is your car so hush hush s3s3?
whats wrong with telling people what you have done to it?
with all due respect, you seem to be able to talk the talk but have absolutely nothing to back up what your saying! show us some pictures at least! Im sure everyone on here is very interested as to what you have hiding under the bonnet!
 
Clearly my S3 is the fastest, I don't need to tell you what's under the bonnet, all you need to know is it's Black, easily the fastest colour! :laugh:

to be fair im ya most likely way of confirmation with sounds of things...trouble is i am now reluctant to make a special effort and waste fuel on what sounds like is going to be a thrashing, that said i caught a glimpse of the exhaust which looked standard to me..... it wasnt the best light but sure it was a normal back box - dont get me wrong ill have a go if i see ya S3s3 or if indeed we plan a meet, but to go onto our test track with what your saying sounds daft at my end... but then your talking about getting power out of a KO4 that no tuner in the US or in the UK has ever gotten..... 10.5 1/4 mile is dream land i am afraid
 
Is all ********. Trying to be the big man and being disrespectful to people who have carried out extensive work. The guys prob 18 and thinks he lives in race wars in fast n furious. That's how it comes across to me.
No matter how fast a car is, what sort of grown fella tuner goes bragging saying il do you, il do you. quite sad really.
 
erm, this might be something.... S3s3 i have a mate who works for JP Autotechnics in Swallownest, they mapped a goodwood green S3 only a few weeks ago on their rollers (map was a custom one, not related to any name we would know on here - ie not a VAG specialist)..... there cant be that many about, you sure this wasn't your car fella

btw i have more info about it as it was my mate who mapped it - just not something i wana place on a forum fella - safe to say i'd take a pretty good guess what ya private plate is :tapedshut::laugh:

look this false arguement could go on forever, a 2.0 fsi k04, werever it be a leon cupra, gti ed 30, S3, is far far superior to our 1.8T KO4. my ed 30 had nothing but a remap and it was a proven 294bhp at ric woods cnc heads in stockport. i could buy a leon cupra tomorrow and just with a turbo back system, panel filter, uprated fuel pump fmic, you dont need this on the S3 as the one on the s3 is bigger than golf seat etc, a stage 2 revo map and your talking 360bhp, this would ruin an hybrid ko4 8L. 1st and 2nd the 8L would win but 3rd my god, and once rolling 50-70, 70-90 etc the s3, cupra, ed 30, would be embarrassingly quicker than an hybrid 8L. i have a stage 2 8L and if i came accross a stage 2 s3 and he wanted to play i would pick my nose and eat it and pretend i hadnt seen him, becausr i know it would be very one sided.
 
sorry when i say 8L would win in 1st and 2nd i meant against my old ed30 ie 2 wheel drive.

exactly that mate.... the car went in for a remap on my mates 2wd RR.... it is a 210 F/L car - i know the car didnt knock out the figs that a normal stage 1 map did and so they gave the kid the option to take the map off as it didnt make a massive amount of difference....didnt ask why it was crap, guess sumat was wrong with it

I know his reg lol which is pretty damning - im up for that race haha

Shane - I have no doubt your right, tbh i havent spent too much time beyond looking at the spec needed for the different stages - i gave away the miltek non res the car came with :)

if its the goodwood green my mate mapped it aint hybrid......

but yeah im the idiot who always starts these posts ;)
 
Dave its **** mate, nobody ever tries..... had a Fabia VRS have a go last night, that was pointless..... prob been a couple others but i dont really remember them - ****** thing uses loads more fuel than the 8L, i used to get away with £35 a week, now its £40 and then the odd extra £20 every 2nd week.... clutch isn't as nice to use when your plodding in traffic, bit jumpy on occasion - but the noise is emmense compared to my 8L, very addictive

Anyway you lot can keep your GOLFS, come back when you have proper quattro ;-p
 
In fairness mate you can't just call a guy a lier, for all you know it could be a different car your mate mapped, or the work could of been done in the last week or two, In away I do hope the guy has the power he claims he has, kicks your *** and you go running with your tail between your legs :rock:

No offence buddy but I don't like accusing people of lying if you don't know for sure.... and it sounds pretty play ground like.... "a friend said blah blah blah"
 
Dan its pretty damning when you have a reg plate too mate - i did mention that in both my posts above.... unless there is another goodwood green S3 floating around these parts, although I fully understanding the laws of probability. Thanks for the support though, good to know i can rely on ya :)

haha, fair point..... i only left cos of you ;)

funny you should say that, i couldnt be ***** at first but the info on these cars is nowhere near as vast as for the 8L - and so was forced to. :(

ahha!! there must be two greens within ten miles of each other...what are the chances :) doood the one he mapped started L33, i'll leave the rest off as not fair to the owner.....

but yeah, if your running NOS fella..... i wont stand a chance :)
 
what were the chances haha..... i actually clipped the misus on the back of the head as she said she was sure the reg started either L or J 33...obviously i know the rest from my mate so put 2 n 2 together ;)

to be fair i dont think we've ever seen a NOS equipped car on here :/
