Bad Company 2

New maps on BC2 now lads, 4 new ones so get on and get used to them
 
I played quickly on one of these yesterday, it was MASSIVE!!! Only played for 5 mins or so, and then was straight back to Gran Turismo as i'm loving that at the moment.

I was impressed with the scale of the map though, and think that there will be some great battles on that map.
 
So are these new maps and not just a conquest map changed to a rush map and vise versa about time if they are its been out an age lol.
 
Yeah they're 4 new maps. Although I think one (if not two) are from bc1 so you may have played them before. The other two and new though as far as I know.

If i can get off GT5 i might take a look BC1 maps sounds good there were some awesome maps iirc.
 
my maps have gone somewhere, is it just me or has anyone lost their maps for time being??? hope i get them back asap as they are class maps specially "harvest day" on rush

There was an issue with the VIP map packs but I think it is sorted now.

2 maps are from Bad Company 1. Oasis was voted a sbeing the best BC1 map by the BC community and Harvest Day was 2nd

The other 2 maps have been converted from single player in BC2, 1 is Rush and 1 is conquest.

I'm completely addicted to this game and have put in 370 hours trying to get to rank 50 befor xmas!!! I'm 43 at the moment and still a fairly long way to go. If anyone wants to squad just send me a frient request (PSN = W-E-S-T-L-E) and be sure to put "ASN" in the message so I know who you are.

I'm downloading this for PC just now.. it's been a while since I've been on the gaming scene!
 
PC players have hit the 69 million mark on team actions to get the extra map.
360 user's have hit near 37 million and PS3 players have hit near 28 million.
As a PS3 player it's probably going to take another month to hit 69 million.

Yeah you are probably right. It does also count the team actions in BC2 as well.
In Vietnam i have noticed a lot of people don't spot as much. I seem to be doing most of it in the games i play.
 
Vietnam is excellent. Not much hard cover at all, so you've really got to be on your toes. Some of the maps are an absolute bloodbath.
 
the game is class, im on black ops right now but im fully into BC2 and vietnam so ill be there whenever
 
Does anyone else have problems finding games on their PS3? When I try to start a game it says that it can't find any games so I have to quit and restart the game and then it works. I didn't have this problem before and now I have gone back to it after a few months this is happening, I don't get any disconnects when in a game though so aside from this it works perfectly.
 
I only lose connection during the 2nd game. Other than that i have no problems.
I'm playing through the single player again at the moment.
 
Check out the BFBC2 forums over on http://www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com there has been a recent Server update for Stats, which as far as I can see only fixed it 50%. Game Servers have become more unstable and getting into a game can be very hit and miss at certain points during the day, normally after 9pm.

I've been posting there recently but have had very little response to my criticisms of the game and how the servers are.

Hope they sort it out soon.

I normally can only go on after 9pm so that would explain it.
 
I'm thinking of finally downloading Vietnam tonight or tomorrow. I've been busy with gt5 recently, so couldn't be bothered to purchase vietnam expansion as I knew it wouldn't get played. I can't wait though, apart from these server issues mentioned here, i've only heard great things about it!!!
 
Vietnam is great. I'm going to be downloading very soon too. Played in on my mates PS3. The EA/DICE Server issues plague the game at the moment but I still play regularly. A nice feature is the addition of some of the old maps from Bad company for multiplayer. I hear more are coming also.

There is a competition soon which if you get the developers tags while playing against them you win a holiday and other things.

Will be playing tonight.

Yo Mr G. I hit rank 50 over xmas and still cant put this game down. Remember the days when we squaded and didn't have a clue what I was doing!

I have to say i'm not much of a Nam fan at the moment. I really hate the lack of cover and am constantly raging at getting shot through walls. Next time you're on drop me a squad invite mate.

I can't wait to give vietnam a blast finally.
 
My mate will probably be online, he's a much higher rank than me, so we could get him in the squad too. We both have mic's, I know mine will need charging though, but will get on that as soon as i'm home from work. Here's hoping the little one goes to bed nicely for me :D
 
Yeah! And we can tell him we're part of the Anal Sex Network! He'll be gutted as he hasn't earnt his brown-wings yet.

That's the idea, though, innit. A completely different set up to the original. No hard cover. Sneaking through the jungle undergrowth. No laser sights. You can get picked off from anywhere, so need to keep moving.

Just started playing hardcore mode. Love it, although I'm finding it harder to pick up points as quickly.

You all seem to be PS3 dudes. No PCs? :-(
 
yeah, think most people here seem to be PS3 or 360. Sorry mate! One of my other mates is a big PC gamer, and we always disagree about them, ha! He has one of those funky little circle keyboards with only the keys used for FPS's.

I gave it a try once and killed one person in about an hour. I think i'll stick to PS3, lol.

Yeah but its just not my style, I prefer to be near building with solid walls ;)

There are lots of bush campers in Nam too. No where near capping distance to capture flags, just sitting in bushes to get easy kills.
