They are currently in there till i Deffo make my mind up. Then either delete or keep

Door needed modding to accept the new mirror bases. You can either fit new door modules for mirror indicators and code or wire to the central electric board. I did the later

Probably worth sending a pm to Scott. He a top guy and will be able to advise you on what needed and what to do

you don't need to mod the baseplates if you get the same type of mirrors i.e. 3dr for 3dr and SB for SB

i've just bought a set and after i have Audi look at my door lock problem under warranty i'm going to give fitting them a go with a "How To" guide - but i'll say don't hold your breath because i'll probably make a hash of it LOL

There are two ways to get them fella.
First is fit new door modules and iirc some rewire is needed
second way is to tap into the original Side repeaters on the ceb

Mechanical fitment is a straight swap as long as you get the correct ones for you car (3 or 5 door)
They can be made to fit vise versa, but is a lot easier with the right ones.

can you tell if there 3 day or 5 door mirrors by looking at them ?

one member on here did a full facelift front end. he plugged his mirrors into his old door modules and they've worked completely fine for him.

i haven't got my mirror caps painted yet, so i didn't get around to doing this. sorry about that!
