Glow Plug light flashes

Hi,
Audi A4 avant 1.9tdi 130 sport issue with glow plug light when I turn the ignition on the light flashes even before the engine has been started when I turn the engine and it kicks into life it still flashes, then the abs and esp lights come on any suggestion as to the problem?

My first thought might be the battery but its reasonably new

check your brake lights.
Get the car scanned for faults

It might well be the brake light switch on the pedal, but as mentioned get the car scanned to know for sure as lots of these issues are interlinked.

This thread is quite helpful and reliable. Well, my cousin just recently came across with this issue over the glow plug light which left the two of us wonder what's causing it. Lucky that I was able to read this thread and I never thought that it was a brake light problem. Thanks for sharing this info. I'm gonna let my cousin know about this so he could resolve this issue immediately on his audi.
