Single Grill Conversion Done....V6 S3 Hybrid!!! pic heavy

hey sarah quick question i need a rear spoiler which one would you do you think would look best on my car s-line or votex i cant decide i dont want any halfords crap either lol cheers

Fran, I'd choose the S Line. Think it will look ace on your car! Stay away from non OEM, most are bad fits and dont look as good!

yeah i was thinking s-line im keeping an eye on ebay to see what turns up otherwise it the stealers for me lol cheers

yup stealers or try looking up breakers in ebay too! Be cheeky and ask if they have any! Hope you get one, will look ace

i will try lol , yeah i agree we've had a good number of s-line's in work now and i think a3's look so much better with them , its the one of the things i wished my car came with as well as sat nav , xenons , heated seats etc ..

lol yeah it does a bit oh well some things you can put on your car thanks to thing awesome site eh haha

awesome work sarah rly done a good job car looks fab, great feelin when doin it yourself as well:) p.s i need 09 rear light were to get them from?

Cheers Chris, yup its a great feeling! apart from the bruises lol

Got the 09s from the same guy I bought the alloys from, a lucky buy!

thanks, i'm still undecided on the rings tbh, might do them the same colour as the alloys and wing mirror covers. At the mo in black they look like there is nothing there. I'll look for another set and paint them up and I can mix n match lol!

Hey Sar :) I think the car would look even better with a colour matched front badge :)

lol, maybe, but its an everyday family car and would hate the kids to loose their teeth in the back lol! on the other hand walkings good lol

Thats more spending ideas...........lol

I I just laughed when i read this! lol :)

yup doing the rings as we speak!

And hey! what can I say, I dont like passengers lol! No seriously, I have to consider others in the car but im tempted for sure!

Very nice build, fair play for doing most of it yourself, I have broke too many things to risk doing anything to my own cars anymore haha. All I would say is maybe abit lower and some spacers on the back would set it off a treat.

lovely job sar, looked great at aitp !
you deffo need to lower it and spacers would just finish it of a treat.
great work, well done.
let me know when your ready for the digi tuner and dvd etc, will pop up and sort for you, whilst your spending, you may aswell get a flat bottom wheel too and we can fit it all in one go !!!
its only money !!! lmfao

Haa haa Fran but you're not complaining! You have an ace car! But hey there are loads more you can do........ and so it goes on! lol

I have to say, I'm seriously mighty impressed by this, you are the defacto female modder on ASN.

Very good job, only things I will say & you know are get those skirts on asap & lose the horrible splitter on front, it ruins IMHO the S3 front styling, doesnt compliment it at all girl, your car do as you see fit, just a friendly opinion. :)

Again I say I'm very impressed, wish my missus had some of your dna for your car loving lmfao.

Ok, I've lived with my front rings painted black for a few weeks and tbh, as much as I like them, every time I looked at them, they just looked like they had been nicked!! lol

Anyway, decided to do them the same anthracite (ish with a blue hue) as the Alloys and mirrors. (Hard to show the colour but they do match the lower bumper Lip, alloys and mirrors. Just looked more silvery with the camera!)

Also decided to have a go at getting some marks off the headlamps. Got some brilliant advice from Jim (Jimmeh) of White Details (thanks Jim) and had a go. Used some Poorboys SSR1 & 2 and Megs steps 2 & 3 of the Deep Crystal System to try to bring them back shiney new! I'm happy with the results so...result!

Before (were covered in stone chips etc)

Cheers Fran. I was bored today so though id have a go at the lights. They always bugged me with all the stone chips etc. Did the avants rear lights too, wow they look like new! lol Brownie points earned for me! haa haa

About time you got those mirror glasses!!!!!! Gently does it when fitting! Hey they are coming together nicely now!

hey fair do's you have done a good job you'll be after a job in my place soon lol , well i fitted them today with no probs yay i can see out of them properly for the first time in a month haha

haahaaa I did giggle when I saw your car, I felt embarrased I'd broken 1!!!!!! lol

Noooooo, detailing for fun is great but everyday is hard work!!! Although saying that, I'd happily do it more often, I like seeing the results.

i saw th funny side after i stopped swearing like a guy with tourettes syndrome i thought one is bad but two of them come on how bad can my luck get haha , i still love seeing the end result even now and ive been doing it professionally for 8 years esp on my own car i washed her today and polished her usually i cant be ***** because i do it everyday lol

With the issue of stone chips to the headlights, have you thought of investing in headlight protector covers from Audi? I would rather have chips on these than the headlights especially with Xenons, they can also dissipate the force against larger stones that could break the headlights as well..
