I ordered mid-March and it is now due in mid-October....just to give you another possible wait. It seems to be pot luck. On the up-side, I am being delivered my temporary A4 today!

I ordered end of feb picked up 22 may that included quite a few factory fit options
brilliant red BE s/tronic opensky sunroof sat nav etc
Yeah, a girl that I work with ordered hers a week before me. Got hers delivered end of June... you were lucky and got in on the MY2010 list, I didn't make it

Mine was ordered on about the second week of May to be in the first week of the MY11 builds which I think was week 26 (End of June). It's been at the dealers for about a month.

No worries, I am hoping to get it in a couple of weeks now so will let you know.
I ordered an S3 SB BE in Ibis White, with Tech pack, comfort pack, int. light pack and ordered around 2nd week of May. I am told it will be a MY11.
I assume the reason it has been at the dealers for a month is you are waiting for September 1st reg?
S3's don't seem to be affected as badly as the normal A3 BE, or at least the majority of S3 orders on here have been a lot better lead time than the A3's

It would be interesting to find out which cars have been ordered privately and which are company/lease ordered using third party. I suspect that company/lease purchase deal with only one or two dealers which give them the best discount but when they order more cars than their dealers have allocated they just push it back to the next month, then the next and the next...

Was down the dealers today, my car is still down for week 45 which is mid Nov. He also show me a e-mail from Audi, say any cars order now will be delivered in Feb'11 at the earliest. Oh... one more thing the Audi new system will be full up to date by next week so mite get some more information.
I thought I'd had a long wait but actually sounds like I was quite lucky! I ordered my S3 BE (3 dr) on 3rd April and picked it up on 30th July so just under 4 months. It was ordered via Stockport Audi.
I was in the dealers yesterday and also ask about the VAT increase. I was told if i was unlucky and the car arrived next year 2011, i wouldn't have to pay the 20%.
Ordered mine 15th Feb via ING lease - delivered (to me) 30th April from Audi Manchester. (2.0 TDI BE Sportback + sound pack, interior light pack, cruise, auto lights & wipers, parking sensors, heated seats, alcantara, through load & boot liner)

Mine has has been ordered through Lex Autolease and I ordered it at the start of July and they have said I should get it mid November
Ordered mine through Huntingdon Audi with a lease company.
Slightly off topic but how did you find Derby to deal with? They are closer to me and I initially had a quote and test drive but then after choosing my options they never got back to me with a re-quote?

Nice choose of car! I personally can't really see enough difference between Suzuka Grey and Ibis White to pay an extra £1500 or however much it is?
Ended up paying £1000.00 for an exclusive paint as this is my 3rd audi from the same dealership over a period of 15 months. Sazuka Grey is a different class compared to Ibis White .. Ibis White is to common now ... Seen couple of S3's on here plus i love jamiekip's tt-rs in sazuka grey and thats what influenced by decission lol

Mine was ordered first week of May 2010 through Provecta lease company, don't know which dealers as they won't tell me. Still think delivery date of March 2011 is taking the p***
Trying to change the spec due to 20% VAT increase, which is not going too well at the moment, they say "It may delay the delivery !!!!"

I've been following this thread since i decided on the A3 SB Black Edition as my next car.
My order was placed on the 18th of June. I was expecting delivery around the end of October. Luckily i got a heads-up on the A3production problems and started chasing Audi (via 'lease' company) earlier in the week.
I was not at all surprised to learn that my delivery is now 'late December'. After exchanging a few emails (via 'lease' company) i have been told that Audi are covering the VAT increase on my order (should delivery slip to January), as it was placed before the 22nd of June.
I suggest if anyone else in in a similar position that they check up on this, as it could save you £££s!

I think the VAT increase will cause some serious implications for some people. I think I was looking at circa £800 when they initially announced the intention - I breathed a sigh of relief they waited until January.
No, if you recieve your car before the new year you will miss the VAT increase.

I still think that as its Audis fault your not getting your cars till the new year they should be paying ANY increase! id fight that hammer and tooth.
People who place there order like me and some other people on here before Audi's price increase back in May, are price protected from the VAT increase if the car go into next year. I saw the e-mail that was sent to the dealers. But if you place another now and the car comes next year you will have to pay the VAT increase.

1. they forgot to order enough of the new wheels
2. they had a two week shut down
3. their computer system crashed and they added all the orders back out of date order
4. in some cases the lease companys ordering through Audi didnt place orders till later than they said they had.
and im sure there are more reasons.
Hi all, also new to the site,as I dont own an Audi yet. Ordered the black edition in june, told it should be ready in sept, now looks like build date is january so collection in febuary???? Not so impressed with that.anyone else having simular problems with lead times?
