I think the new wheels not only look better than the old ones, they'll be a damn site easier to clean.

Can't wait for my A3 SB BE TDI 140 in Ice silver with black roof bars and other bits and bobs......only 8 months to go :--(((
 
Lovely motor mate, think you got a few people (Including myself) finding it even harder to wait for theres now! How do you feel about the one tailpipe?
 
Personally not a fan of the one tailpipe but I haven't really seen it in the flesh?!

Looks really nice, i had not picked up on the silver front defuser but it looks nice.
 
Yeah I think all diesel engines, 1.2T, 1.4T and 1.6 have the single tailpipe?

My sister picked up her A3 s-line 1.6TDI and that came with single tailpipe. But on the MY10 170TDI's comes with twin tailpipes, i don't really mind if they have indeed change it, but perfer twins.

I cant remember chap! just remember thinking oh well people wont know if mine is a 170 or a 140 as they both have singles now. sure i read it some where. been looking over the changes sheet but cant pick it out.

Think it looks pretty cool now actually, like retro. Going to be a bitch to keep it clean though! anyone have a secret to keep the soot off??
 
Oh i think it was on the info for the stop start actually, stop start means single pipe for some reason and C02.... ?
 
The single tail pipe doesn't really bother me, suppose it might do to other people though
 
Feel sure that 140 turned single tailpipe/start/stop before the 170 , but i believe that the 170 is now single / start/stop . I'm sure that i read this somewhere - but not sure where .

Lovely car mate ... Got my claim through from my insurance after my Mini JCW was stolen .. Was going to place an order from another JCW but having look at pics of your A3 and them cosmetic changes they have made to the My 2011 i think im going to place an order for another black edition or check with dealer if he can find me new car at a dealership in their group

Have order A3 from Listers in Worcester - what a brilliant dealership, it put our Puegeot dealership in the shade. Listers are Premier division - would recommend them to anyone.
 
My new A3 ordered is S line - Black Edition in red. 2.0 TFSI. Ordered Comfort pack. Light and rain sensor package.
 
Wanted to order Symphony radio with 6 CD changer - but unfortunately due to the Audi computer being 'down' by the time it was up and running again - we were too late - the build has already started. Listers are going to see if they can fit it at dealership, I hope this is possible - can anyone out there confirm whether they have had anything similar fitted at dealership when car has arrived? Thanks.
 
The new alloys looks tacky. Prefer the old ones. And single tail pipe looks naff too!
 
hello fellas im from over the 8L forum ive a S3 which i love driving at the weekends 2003 model, moded. but i drive a 170tdi black edition with the giac remap in ibis white very nippy and 48mpg. im finding info on this site very helpfull cheers shane.
 
audi upgrades
New rotor style alloys, single tail pipe, new wing mirrors, gloss black "B" pillars - in 6 months time the "old" BE with twin tail pipes, matt black "B" pillars, etc....will probably look dated............ ;-)

When down the dealers and he show me a brand new MY11 BE 3DR in White, the wheels defo are darker than in the pic's. Anyone who want go have a look. Its at Stoke Audi. Sorry no pic's as i did not have my phone with me.
 
Ok now I've got an 8 month wait for my SB BE and will have to pay 20% VAT for the privilege I'm ditching the Ice Silver to pay for the increase so.....

So you now need to pay the extra even though you had ordered it previously? 8 months is a bitch. I'm still around 4 months away from mine.

I've gone Ibis and happy with the choice!

There is no way you should pay 20% - you ordered it before the rise. I would tell them to stick it, I'm sure another dealer would be happy for your business at 17.5%!!!!
 
Yeah I ordered mine about a month and half ago and its due early December but if it isn't here until the new year i'll have to pay the 20% so I'm praying to say the least!

I'd also go with White, have you seen the link above of Kman's new BE?! That will give you a good idea. Also if your thinking of cutting the cost of the paintwork that means you'll have to go with Brilliant Black which isn't as nice in my opinion, you would be better off with Ibis White
 
What about red?! That is a free colour too. Can't wait for my red BE to arrive. Think it will look the dogs.

I had the same deliemma between Black or White and decided on White. Think it looks awesome with the tints and black shiny bits! Can't wait to collect it!! :jump:

I agree with Ash re: 20% VAT. If original date was this year and the delivery has now been delayed until next year, Audi would still have to charge the 20% VAT by law but I would ask for them to reduce the price before VAT so it comes out the same. I think that makes sense! :think: . I am in a completely different business but if I delayed an order I would reduce the price in this way to keep the customer happy. At the end of the day it would only mean around a 2% hit.

I think Ibis White has the edge, it sets off the dark wheels, tints, black grill - should look good with black roof rails too....Anyone have pics of an MY11 A3 SB in white with black roof rails ??
Black is good too... but I need a change from my previous black Audi
Red looks good too...but I still think white gets the vote.

The 170 has gone Stop/Start with the MY11 cars. If this also means a single tailpipe then I'll be a bit peeved when mine arrives but, as it also drastically reduces the CO2 rating, I'll live with it :D

You don't pay for the car until just before you take delivery (aside from the deposit) and the dealers aren't allowed to let you pay earlier. The only way you'd get it at effectively 17.5% is if the dealer took the hit, effectively offering you a further 2% discount.
 
Just change the back box with a 2009 BE, might need to swap the defuser too.

I am ordering in TWO months now. Is it realistic to expect the car in March? 7 months?

Mine was ordered first week May 2010 expected delivery is March 2011 !!!
