My rear window won't go all the way down on my B7 Cabriolet 2.0tfsi. Still has about 5 inches more to go.

As it hits bottom it is as if it thinks it is actually at the bottom, or in other words it isn't snagging and the motor isn't try to repeatedly come down.

Any idea guys?

My 08 cab windows go all the way down but alas I can't help you resolve your issue.

Mine has done exactly the same today. Does anyone have any ideas?

Stipped it down, nothing out of place, greased and lubed, nothing. Think it is the regulatory. Tried various resets, none worked. Big job to do the reg, glad I've got a warrantee.

What resets have you tried Harrimoo, I could give that a go.

As an update to this thread my window has now started working as it should, how odd! All is now good.

My driver side rear window on my 2007 a4 cabriolet is doing the same thing all of a sudden. Did anyone find a fix?

My 06 drivers rear window also started the same trick, won't go down the last 6 inches.

Is there a reset procedure ?

Hi,

Same thing happened to my wife's car today. Also a B7 Convertible 2.0TFSI. To fix, 1. ensure all windows are up. 2. Unplug the battery for the car. 3. Leave for at least ten minutes. 4. Re-connect battery. 5. Open and close each window fully. Hey presto....it works. The rear window opens fully. 6. Reset your car's date/time and also sync your keyfob with the car again.

Good luck!
