I was thinking the usual red, but not sure whether it would look right on a 'non-sporty' car.

Any Ideas?

I was thinking of a silver or "aluminium" paint. That way, they don;t look boy racerish but you can see they look ok if anyone looks closely.

(After all, 6-pot Brembos look ok in red or yellow on a ferrari but the "ordinary" calipers on a tdi A3, on small disks that don't fill the wheel just look naff if they're painted to stand out....)

Tried Red and didn't look right, too much in ya face..., so went for silver and they look great, as said above, just looks new and shiney without being over the top. :o.k:

I tried red too, looks daft tbh! Now silver and its cleaned the whole area up and looks ace!!! Silver or black are good colours!

Excellent, can you come and paint mine please S :)

stock calipers? leave them be or go with matte silver or matte black. do not paint stock calipers, it's such a poseur (or pikey) thing to do.

Don't mean to put you off but they will be a biatch to keep looking good be a wheel off job cleaning them.

I've painted my R32's front and back crackle black

Yeah, true! Looks like silver it is, I think the Aluminium paint would do nicely actually. :eyebrows:

Okay, and thanks for the pics Sarah. I've definitely made up my mind now! Silver it is.

Love your alloys!!

Mine are only the standard SE ones and I'm worried that if I upgrade to bigger ones, the ride quality will be ruined. :ermm:

As me and Sarah spoke of last time, silver, black,or the original no paint rusted look also looks sweet

I just went for matt black as they don't stand out too much that way. I do like the gloss black callipers on the S3 though. Red works best on sportier cars or JDM imo I had a black civic, grey wheels and red callipers before and really liked it.

Wow, those brakes look lush *sighs* one day haha

Snot coloured??? No only jokin! They should look good against the colour of your car!!! Get them fitted! or is it Nige fitting these too??? lol
